Me and my partner stayed in Room 101. The room had sky windows rather than normal ones which sadly didn’t open, sadly there isn’t any air conditioning so the blazing hot weather made the room sweltering, thermostat read at 30 degrees in our room. A fan was provided but was lack luster and clearly was very old with not enough power to cool down the room. There is a restaurant nearby, which in order to attend dinner, you must book a table beforehand, which wasn’t a problem however we were not told this as we checked in.

This has got to be the worse experience I’ve ever had at a hotel and I’ve stayed all over the country/ the first night we stayed after working a 13 hour day we went down to the restaurant where only four people were sat down so basically empty and we(3) were told it would be a 20 minute wait for food which I questioned to the member of staff called Clayton to which Clayton didn’t show any sympathy or care for us just behaved in a very rude manner so we sat down 20-25-30-35 minutes past by and still nothing so I walked out and complained to the front desk ( Charlotte) was absolutely brilliant and very apologetic a complete contrast to Clayton so I went elsewhere to buy my evening meal only to find out that Clayton had spoke to her manager (Megan) and made up lies saying we were rude but couldn’t offer any substance to her claim so obviously forming pack mentality against me which is absolutely disgusting- I’m taking my complaint to head office along with my recordings of both situations as I want this delt with properly and not by a group of children who know nothing about customer service. Megan I suggest you get some management training and I suggest you remove Clayton from front of house

Not at nice as the other premier in Bridgewater. Didn’t take many photos but the two I did was pretty consistent throughout. First issue was the rooms where sat at about 29-30 degrees day and night with no aircon. Couldn’t even open the window more than an inch to let cold air in as it had a lock. Could hire it out a sauna instead. I was there 5 days not once was the room cleaned or towels changed. Some of the staff were actually really polite but I found one really rude. Company payed for extra premium wifi and I had the receipt too but when I asked they said I didn’t. Not that it mattered as the wifi didn’t really reach the room I was in. Kept dropping out wouldn’t load anything. Room was dirty, really dusty and smelt quite bad. The restaurant was run really poorly. Wait for dinner was between 45 mins to 1.5 hours. One evening it was pretty much empty and they said they were fully booked but throughout the night there was max 5 people in there. If you miss your booking by 10 mins they won’t let you in. Food was okay once it arrived but options were slim.

The reason why I give this a one over all is the service and the food. I feel sorry for the staff and they have been let down by the management team. There was no burgers available to buy on the meal deal and the only other food that I really would have eaten other than pizza was the Steak but they was going to charge me. So after a discussion I ended up ordering a Pizza which was not great. Then food took ages to come out and when I queried it they said they was short staffed. Which I get but they spent most if the time at the back speaking to who ever was cooking. I have stayed at numerous holiday inns across the country and I swear by them but this is honestly one of the worst experiences I have had at a Holiday In and would not stay here again after this experiance. I am hoping the breakfast is better a experiance but not holding my breath.
