  This review is not so much about the rooms but the carpark, we got checked in by a member of staff and no mention of registering our car. When we got back off holiday we was greeted by a fine, we rang Premier Inn and told us it was down to Horizon which looks after the carpark. So we took it up with Horizon, showed them proof of stay but have still been fined even though we stayed the night. I’m upset with Premier Inn for not being helpful when we rang and extremely upset with Horizon for taking advantage of a mistake.

  Interesting to read the other reviews that mention the restaurant being "fully booked" . Same experience for us.We could have a table for the two us at 9pm. Hmm , most restaurants stop serving at 9 pm. Ended up driving to the nearest chippy. Room was clean and bed comfy but very stuffy as no opening window and Aircon just sucked allthe fresh air out of the room. No dressing table just a high shelf with a low stool below it Outside areas very dingy. Had hoped to take advantage of the later checkout to give us time to recover from the very long journey on our arrival day but couldn't wait to get out of there Will not be staying there again Really surprised that with so many guests making the same complaint that the management is not reacting to improve things

  Well I don’t normally do this. I very often just put up and shut up BUT not this time. Step forward Premier Inn for one of the worst budget hotels available Flattering to deceive springs to mind! Having used Premier Inn many times in the past I’ve thought it was clean cheap(ish) and cheerful. Decent rooms Meals were enjoyable and ok Breakfast was always really nice and something that meant you could fill up and were really set for all day without needing to eat lunch etc. So we booked Premier Inn Bridgwater North on a visit to Somerset to visit my son’s new home. What a joke! We arrive the place looks like an abandoned trading estate Foot high weeds and not looked after grounds but never mind it’s inside that counts. So we had booked a Premier Plus Room. Nothing special considering it’s an upgraded room. A dressing table that was maybe 6inches wide (a shelf) and a stool next to the bedroom door! Lovely!! A window that does not open Whose idea was that - fresh air in a room where hundreds of people had slept in before might be nice - just a thought! The room DID have air conditioning which it had to have. The room was basic and to be fair if that’s an up graded room I dread to think what the rest are like. We arrived around 6 and called in to the tiny restaurant that is way too small to accommodate the size of the hotel, to book a table for food. We told they couldn’t do us any food until 8.45pm. So we accepted that and after going to our room We went to restaurant to have a glass of wine before we ate. The restaurant was virtually empty - maybe 6 people eating - but they couldn’t cook a meal for us until 8.45!! They had an offer on drinks, 2 for £10 with flyers, posters and table cards advertising this all over. So when we ask what they have - they had nothing to offer. So had to pay full price at extortionate rates. So they girl came over early and said you can order now if you’d like but after reeling off a shopping list of all the things they didn’t have there wasn’t much left to pick from. When the meal arrived it was mass produced bog standard food. I could have cooked a better meal myself. The whole experience was a joke. A group arrived at the restaurant, clearly staying at the hotel and were turned away for food, having been told the restaurant can’t cater for a party of 6! So the next morning you look forward to your breakfast - hopefully they can redeem themselves-BUT NO. So we arrive at the restaurant - not too busy great- we get a lukewarm coffee and some toast and then head to buffet bar. Oh well never mind. Firstly there no plates to help yourself to the non existent food so you wait and you wait and then you wait and the chef appears with a few under cooked bits of bacon to have along side the 1 sausage that all 6 of waiting diners have to share and the non existent tomatoes, egg or black pudding. There were plenty beans clearly no one likes beans Well I suppose that £24 (2 breakfasts) was well spent! Bottom line - up your game Premier Inn or those other budget hotel chains that were always considered the worst are going to be way ahead of you. My advice - go somewhere else!

  Overall the hotel was ok. Room was nice but checkin kiosk wouldn't scan codes. One day breakfast items were all stone cold, second day were warmer, not hot, but that was nothing compared to the chaos of the evening meal. In the evening we booked both nights 8 people 7:15 as part of meal deal. First night was great. Second night different staff. So 1st night we all sat together, ordered and ate together. You know, like a normal restaurant. Second night the staff were saying we were booked into 10 minute slots, 2 at a time. We had a table for 8 people but only 2 people could order every 10 minutes. There was much clipboard tapping and flapping, we were told the surnames that could order in each slot. It was mad. Fortunately a member of staff from the day before realised what had happened and managed to sort it, but only after two people had ordered separately.

  I stayed here with work. Due to the pitiful free internet, fees for checking in minutes before 3pm, and the penny pinching nature of Premier Inn I would never choose to stay in one. As has been mentioned in previous reviews, despite it being a hideous modern building, there is no air conditioning. Making it uninhabitable for much of summer 2026. The restaurant gave me a menu with the vast majority of dishes crossed out in biro. I enquired about this and was told they'd had stocking and staffing issues. So I chose from the apparently remaining options, only to discover 5 minutes later that a fellow diner's menu was complete, and I could have had my pick of the menu. Also, one of the glass cups in my room wasn't clean, which seems standard for Premier Inn. The staff, despite some incompetence, were however friendly, and other than the cup, the room was clean.
