Stayed here for work so I had no idea what this place was like before turning up and I’d not stay here again, the place feels extremely tired and it’s not cheap to stay here either.
Firstly my room smells like a chip shop, it seems I may be located close to the kitchen and the extractor smell pervades everywhere & the smell is extremely unpleasant when laying in bed.
The corridor smells musty like it’s never been cleaned.
The bathroom sink plug is jammed in so I cannot empty the basin.
The shower head looks like it has black mould on it.
There is a little fan in the room to keep it cool but it’s noisy and looks chocka with dust which is likely dead skin🤢
There is a door somewhere downstairs below my room and it slams every few minutes, constantly and I can feel it through the floor.
Having gone down for breakfast, it seems like it’s the door into the restaurant and the door into the kitchen are the ones that are constantly slamming, as it’s directly below the room I stayed in.
The pub next door (The Plough) is now derelict, which really adds to the ambiance.

Our room was next to the kitchen, we had to be up early to go to the airport. There.was clanging and banging in the kitchen until 22.30. Not ideal, the.hotel itself was nice a lovely bar/ restaurant area.

Great stay, would book again
Excellent location and a really comfortable stay. The guest side of the hotel was clean and well kept, and the breakfast was lovely.
The staff were professional and genuinely helpful throughout.
There's plenty of parking.
Highly recommended 😄👍

Apart from the smell, it's what you'd expect from a premier inn. But oh the smell. I can't out my finger on what it was, and I don't want to. A fan on maximum speed in my room when I went in and the window open told me they knew. It's in all the corridors and the the room I was in.
Food was ok. Very small portion of chips making the plate look sad. If I'd paid the menu price I would have been disappointed, but the dinner and breakfast deal is good value. Breakfast good.
