  Starting to look a little tired. Not what I'm used to with the premier Inn brand.

  I've visited a few premier Inn hotels over the years, the room l stayed in overnight was up to the usual premier Inn standard, staff were polite and friendly, there was a problem when I arrived but that was my fault, I did not know that there were accessible rooms when I booked and I needed said accessible room for my parents. The receptionist was very helpful in attempting to get a suitable room for my parents. That was the positive part of the review. The poor part was the food. I pre-booked the meal and I ate in the now former beefeater's next door to the hotel. Now I should have made concessions in the fact that premier Inn parent company are in transition to make themselves more competitive at the time of writing. The former beefeater restaurant is being made a lot smaller and most of it is going to be converted into hotel rooms. But that is besides the point. The restaurant looked old and tired. The restaurant was almost empty, the seats we were sitting on were torn and falling apart. The food that I ate was quite frankly cheap and poor quality. My mum had the Caesar salad and she said that is the worst salad she has ever eaten. If the Premier Inn owners want to increase sales and improve customer satisfaction it's going to have to improve the quality of the food served in its restaurants. If I stay in another Premier Inn I'm certainly not going to choose to eat there as well in the long-term future.

  They failed to notify the parking company that I was a customer using the hotel so I received a parking charge. It offends me that they assume I have the time in my day to be disputing these things. I followed all of the instructions given to me and validated my reg number and still received a charge.

  I have to say, for losing there restaurant the day before we arrived everything was amazing. They had staff from different departments mucking in to help in the restaurant in order to be able to serve the residents of the hotel after their journeys. Food was delicious. I had the curry, another had the gammon and another had the smothered chicken. Couldn't complain. Also had breakfast this morning and again it was superb. If you stay at a Premier support the restaurant. If not you may lose it

  We had an amazing time from the start of our stay with Debbie & then at the end of our stay with help from Toni. Toni arranged an extra night for us & even reminded me to book my car in. She thought of everything & was really helpful. We will definitely return. The staff here are amazing.
