Good hotel, typical of the chain. Comfortable, well appointed, and a good breakfast. Just be aware that the road leading to the hotel is badly pot holed.

Clean, spacious room with a comfy bed and a good shower, tasty buffet breakfast, friendly, helpful staff. There's a Toby Carvery across the parking lot and a decent pub across the road but there's not much else in the vicinity. We wanted somewhere cheap and cheerful for a visit to The Beamish Living Museum and this was perfect!

What a great hotel this is. Immaculately clean, warm and welcoming staff, good breakfast and excellent location. Despite its proximity to the main road, it’s very quiet. The Toby Carvery is just a few meters away and was very convenient for dinner.
Would definitely return. 3-star rating but 5-star standards!
Thank you to Paul and his team for making our stay so comfortable.

Had a cracking stay at Premier Inn Sunderland Washington and just wanted to say a massive thank you to some of the staff who really made the place feel welcoming.
Sharon and David in the breakfast area were absolutely salt of the earth, proper friendly people who make you feel at home straight away. Sharon had us laughing chatting about “Buffalo Stance” by Neneh Cherry, which honestly made our morning. It’s rare these days to come across people so genuine and warm.
Janice and Paul on reception were just as lovely really helpful, down to earth, and couldn’t do enough for us during our stay. Janice even sorted us out with water and glow sticks for the BBC Radio 1 roadshow, which was absolutely brilliant and such a thoughtful touch.
Please pass on my thanks to their managers because they all deserve personal praise for how brilliant they are with guests. They’re a real credit to the hotel.
Will definitely be back again!!
