The hotel was very clean and staff was friendly and helpful.
The location was too far from much of anything. It is located in an unattractive, industrial area that does not make staying there feel very safe.

They get a one star for the absolute schemozzle that is the parking and arrival situation.
The address provided on booking.com takes you to a carpark entry that is private and has a barrier. On the far side to where a driver enters is a tatty A4 piece of paper advising you to drive around the back of a shipping centre to park. You can only read it by getting out of your car and walking over to it.
You drive to the car park only to find that it is for small sedans only.
The carpark will only work if you're driving a small sedan less than 1.79m tall.
So you drive back around and find a park in the shopping centre, having to pay as you'll get fined.
Then you have to walk along the road ro another barriered driveway, climb under the barrier. Walk down a ramp to some doors. Press a button that you hope rings somewhere, the doors are opened.
You go up the lifts to the top floor and ask where parking is for everyone who doesn't drive a sedan. You're directed to where you have parked-the unsecured ice rink car park "it has cameras"- like.they ever stopped at car being stolen or broken into.
But apparently there's a secret tunnel to walk through so you're not out in the rain.
You follow the tunnel and end up in the middle of the shopping centre with no way of getting to your car as there's no direct access to that carpark.
After walking in circles you eventually make it back to your car to grab your stuff and traipse back along the road, up.the ramp, under the barrier, down the ramp through the doors and up the lift to check in.
By which time I am absolutely irate and would not even bother checking in except it is non-refundable. We ask again about secure parking. Nope. None if you're not driving a small car.
There is no "entry" for this hotel.
There is no drop off zone for this hotel.
Forget it is you have any mobility issues and a car larger than a VW golf.
Now we just have to hope our car isn't damaged or stolen in the next 14 hours.

I had an unpleasant stay at the Ramada,East Kilbride. I stayed for 2 days, in those 2 days I could see housekeeping were extremely stretched. The duvets are stained with all sorts of mystery stains that were showing through the duvet cover. The rooms are outdated and the carpets are riddled with stains. The staff arent very attentive or friendly. Its located in a practically derilect shopping centre with 5 elevators only 2 worked. I will not be back.
