  Great place to stay in Media City. The bar is good and does food in the evening. The staff are also very friendly. Only a couple of niggles with the room... The sink did not drain very well and neither of the bedside lights worked. Other than that though the room was very nice.

  Following a family bereavement, we needed to change our stay at this hotel. We are Gold members of the loyalty program, and given the circumstances, we thought the hotel would be helpful. We were so, so wrong. First of all it is IMPOSSIBLE to get hold of anyone here. We have called and emailed and received no response. We went through the IHG app to chat with an advisor who was lovely, but was nothing to do with the hotel. This is probably why they were so nice. They contacted the hotel themselves and asked them to get in touch, but no one has. We eventually found another number to call and did manage to get through to someone, who very robotically repeatedly told us: “There is nothing we can do.” There was no compassion or understanding whatsoever; just an extremely cold, faceless response. We fully understand the cancellation policy; we’ve stayed at hotels within IHG many times, hence our loyalty status. We were actually hoping to change our stay to another time when we weren’t experiencing so much emotional stress. It would have been nice to have had a break in a few months. It is such a shame that the loyalty doesn’t go the opposite way to your guests at a time when it is needed. Whilst we have experienced some wonderful people in other Holiday Inns, it seems that here the cold corporate world is much more important than guest experience, especially at a time like the one we are facing.

  We had a fantastic stay at the Holiday Inn MediaCity Manchester and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We were staying at the hotel while visiting the Coronation Street experience, and the location was ideal — it is very close indeed to the Coronation Street experience, making it a particularly convenient choice. Our stay was made even more enjoyable by the outstanding service we received. Every member of staff we encountered was incredibly helpful, friendly and welcoming, always happy to assist, and nothing seemed too much trouble. It was particularly refreshing to experience such a consistently positive attitude from the whole team, which really made us feel valued as guests. The only area we feel could benefit from some attention would be the minor maintenance issues within the room. Nothing that affected our overall enjoyment of the stay, but addressing these small points would help maintain the high standard expected. Overall, we would have no hesitation in staying here again and would happily recommend the Holiday Inn MediaCity Manchester, particularly to anyone visiting the Coronation Street experience. A big thank you to the entire team for helping make our stay so enjoyable.

  Amazing customer service from Jordan and Chelsea - they went above and beyond. Paula was as exceptional as always. Every time I visit no matter who I see, the service is always pleasantly surprising. Thank you for your hospitality

  Doesn't really feel like a 4 star, 3 stars at best. Floor is creaky, just walking around creates noise, HVAC system is loud, had to bang the restroom fan exhaust since it was making weird noises, TVs are cheap and so are carpets and furniture... Not really well kept, old blood stains in the linnens. My advise: Look around as even in media city you will get better deals
