  Basic Premier Inn. You jnow what you are getting. We enjoyed, but they should let you know food might not be available some evening.

  We used this Lodge as local to Sleap airfield that we were attending for 2 days. I have read the other positive reviews but I can only comment on our experience. The property really needs some tlc on its exterior, very much like the adjoining pub. We were in ground floor 201, nice and convenient for luggage. The biggest issue was the room we were in stunk.. kind of a damp, mouldy, teenagers bedroom aroma that we could not get rid of as some one thought it a great idea to remove the opening window, so no access fresh air to freshen the room up. Little things like.. double room but only one coffee cup provided, tea and coffee were not topped up, no towel rail heater so damp towels (again opening windows would have helped) next morning, no iron or means to press trousers. Net curtain that’s too small for the window and looks like an off cut. Bed was really comfy though and could have slept well be it for the elephant footed person in the room above who stomped backwards and forwards for hours. The place is ok if you need to rough it for a night but being honest we have stopped at private bed and breakfasts which shine way better than Premier Inn as nothing seemed Premier to me. We were unable to eat at the pub Sat night as fully booked so asked the receptionist if there was anything else close by, reasonable question I thought, but said they didn’t know and try driving into Shrewsbury. Like a school report.. could do better

  One of the better premier inns we've been to, rooms are clean and have working air conditioning. Beds are comfortable and the restaurant next door is much better than the reviews say it is. Recommend this place as there are also lots of places up to 40 mins away from here.
