  Stayed here for work, ideal location being near the motorway yet a really quiet hotel. Had a bit of an issue with the heating, the room was freezing cold but it was quickly sorted by Paula and Tom who were brilliant. Even when the heating was fixed they left a portable heater in the room to make sure I was warm enough. Like others have said, the rooms could do with a little refresh but I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

  Kelsey and Molly where brilliant. To be honest everyone working there where very helpful However I didn’t catch all their names. They understaffed and overworked especially within the restaurant. They went above and beyond to meet all needs and help us out. Thank you all

  My partner and I stayed for three nights; while the experience was acceptable, several issues have been raised repeatedly by previous guests and warrant attention. Firstly, cleanliness is a concern. Although carpet staining in corridors may be expected, the armchair in our room was heavily marked, which we found unpleasant. This is unusual for a Premier Inn. Dusting appears inadequate; the bedside lamps were covered in dust, suggesting they had not been cleaned for months. There was also minor mould in the bathroom. Regarding the bathroom, this was the first Premier Inn room I have encountered with a persistent unpleasant odour, seemingly originating from the bathroom. I purchased an air freshener to mitigate the smell during our stay. Additionally, there was slight limescale accumulation on the shower drain. The adjacent Beefeater restaurant has recently undergone a change in management and is now operated solely by Premier Inn staff. However, it appears severely understaffed; our waitress was clearly overwhelmed serving all tables alone. The kitchen may have been limited to one chef, which seemed to affect food quality. Our burgers were overcooked, and the portion sizes and quality did not justify the price. I would recommend alternative dining options or ordering via JustEat, which may offer better value and quality. The car park requires minor maintenance; notably, the junction leading into the site contains a substantial pothole that is difficult to avoid and may cause vehicle damage if approached without caution. Fortunately, parking is complimentary provided that guests register their registration number at reception and specify the duration of their stay. The Premier Inn is situated in a favourable location for rapid access to the city centre without the need to reside there. Although the pricing is competitive, the points outlined in this review should be considered carefully when evaluating your options.

  Stayed here for 3 nights with my husband. The rooms themselves are a little tired, few stains here and there and the bathroom was mouldy in areas but overall we had a comfortable stay. The location was great, 10-15 minute walk to Old Roan train station and then a 20 minute train ride into Liverpool centre. The free parking at the hotel was a great highlight too. The only reason I didn't rate 5 stars was because of the room we were given. It was right near the front entrance, next to the smoking area. We couldnt have the windows open because of the smell of smoke coming in and the noise from people stood outside. We also had to keep the curtains closed all the time for privacy.
