  Where to start with this review. We booked for the Sunday night of may bank holiday after being let down by a hotel we had already booked weeks ago so we found an available double room at premier inn Lowestoft. Admittedly it was a last minute booking so we was happy to pay the £150 premium for 1 night. However we also expect the level of service to match the £150 room charge which I regret to say it didn’t. Firstly on check in the girl behind the counter very clearly didn’t want to be at work that day because she never looked up at us once and grunted our room numbers at us while shoving the room cards in my hand. She also mentioned we needed to book a time for breakfast the next morning. Our party agreed on a 10am breakfast. We where given no direction ms to our room no please or thank you what so ever. So we get to our room. To find the bath and toilet filthy with black mould. The walls a mess not the best start but we get on with our trip and head in to the local town for a meal. On arriving back to the hotel my partner went for a cigarette and forgot her room key. She asked the guy behind the counter for her help he said there was nothing he could do as she couldn’t remember the room number (she suffers severe anxiety) I had felt with the booking and check inn so she was left crying in reception while he sat doing nothing for 2 hours. So she eventually woke me up and I let her in so off we went back to our room only to be awoken 1 hour later by noise from other guest so down we go for a cigarette only to have a rat run over my feet by the table behind the on site beefeater. It then gets worse we went for our pre booked break at 10am only to find the hotel staff hadn’t booked us in we now had a hour and half wait for what turned out to be a stone cold and under cooked the beef ester was also filthy and the staff where rude. Sorry premier inn you really let us down and ruined our weekend away

  As of writing this review, only had dinner and just gotten into the room again, the beefeater was amazing! Bed are comfortable, only downside is, being in one of the slightly older rooms there isn’t aircon, not sure if the newer rooms have aircon but it is a little downside to not having aircon, and there isn’t any fridge in the room! UPDATE - Had breakfast, but the range of food was very limited… the bread does go very quickly, can get tea, coffee, juice, etc, would stay in the hotel again, but hopefully they update all the rooms to have aircon and everything!

  Exactly what you'd expect from a Premier Inn. My room is very peaceful- no road noise or anything. Clean and tidy as usual. They'll try and sell you dinner and breakfast at check-in, but it's only a quick overnight stop, so I've bought "snacks", which they don't mind!
