Nothing much in the local area, but decent restaurant in the hotel itself, otherwise a 5min drive to a local shopping centre area with fast foodaries. Staff friendly and polite. Would happily stay there again if needing to be local. Just get to the car park earlier as it gets full early.

Something that sets this place apart from other hotels is the staff- they are all lovely, helpful and kind and there’s a really nice atmosphere around the place. A special mention to Charlie (who checked us in when we arrived late at night), and Sam (who arranged for us to have breakfast even though they were full and we hadn’t booked)- really good people, who always go above and beyond to help you.
- JJJoelSep 6, 20264.0I went on a short multi-day trip to Suffolk and North Essex with my family and stayed at the Premier Inn Ipswich North. It’s a typical, reliable Premier Inn, which is exactly what you’d expect. We paid a very reasonable price for two rooms, and the breakfast was the usual Premier Inn offering, with both continental and cooked options. The rooms were also standard Premier Inn rooms, clean, comfortable and perfectly suitable for a short stay. Parking was reasonably priced and convenient. The only thing I wouldn’t recommend is staying here if you don’t have a car, as the hotel is actually quite a drive from Ipswich town centre. However, there is a park-and-ride nearby, which is a useful option if you want to get into the town centre without the hassle of driving and finding parking. Overall, a solid and reasonably priced Premier Inn that did exactly what we needed for our trip.
