The entire experience from start to finish was exciting, engaging and we loved it!! The actors and scenery were fantastic, immersive, educational and a lot of fun for fans of horror! Their prices were an absolute steal too!

“Had an amazing time at the Edinburgh Dungeon! The actors were brilliant from start to finish — funny, engaging, and genuinely creepy at times. The sets and special effects were incredibly well done and really brought the history and stories to life. It was the perfect mix of laughs, jump scares, and interactive fun. Staff were friendly and kept the experience flowing smoothly. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Edinburgh and well worth the money. Would highly recommend for anyone visiting the city!”

Went today with my partner and friends for a double date. I had been a few times before but not for years and the others in our party had not visited and didn’t know what to expect. What a laugh we had and plenty scares! The dungeons changes their stories and lay out every so often so even if you’ve been before it won’t be the exact same. I would highly recommend going you will be scared but not disappointed! It’s a fun way to learn about Edinburgh’s history. One of our party members was picked on by the judge! The drop ride was out of order which was a shame. There use to be a boat ride so I’m not sure if that’s gone now or if that was also not working today. The actors were fantastic and one managed to give my partner a fright during the dissection room, it was hilarious! We paid £20 entry because annoyingly the prices are more on weekends. I had an entry voucher being with the AA however the app wasn’t working so I was unable to redeem the money off voucher. Only criticism I have would be some areas are a little too dark when walking, I get it’s suppose to be dark and spooky which it absolutely is, but being able to see where you’re walking would also be good!

Had a really fun time at the Edin dungeons today with a friend who was up visiting from England. I have only ever been to the York Dungeons many years ago.
The actors were all really fun and patient. Unfortunately our tour group had a lot of very loud and obnoxious people as well as two who were drunk (you could literally smell the alcohol on them) which meant that there were two occasions where the staff/actors had to literally stop the performance to tell them to be quiet because it was ruining the tour and the tour happening after ours couldn't hear because they were being so loud. I will say the staff handled this well and although it isn't the dungeons fault, it did ruin the show/vibe a little.
The drop ride was unfortunately out of action which was disappointing and I think the entrance fee should be reduced a little because of this but overall had a fun time and would definitely return!
