Good location outside city. Nice grounds with acceptable leisure facilities. Just a little pricier than competitors.

I recently stayed at Voco Oxford Thames and overall had a decent experience. The location is great and convenient, and I would still recommend the hotel for those looking to stay in the area.
However, I was disappointed with the room. I booked a Standard King Room through Booking.com, and the photos online did not appear to accurately represent the room I was allocated. The room felt noticeably different in both layout and size compared to the images advertised, which was somewhat misleading and created expectations that were not met upon arrival.
Breakfast was also on the pricey side for what was offered. Compared to other hotel chains at a similar or even lower price point, the breakfast selection felt limited. Many competitors offer made-to-order options, such as freshly prepared tuna etc with various toppings, which would have provided better value for money.
Despite these points, the hotel has a good location, the stay was comfortable overall, and the staff were pleasant. With more accurate room photography and improved breakfast value, the experience would have been much stronger. Overall, a decent stay and a hotel I would still recommend.

Another excellent dinner. The food was, once again, consistently high quality, delicious, well presented, and clearly prepared with care.
The real highlight of the evening was the service. Kiera looked after us and was genuinely warm, authentic, and full of positive energy. Her enthusiasm and natural hospitality stood out and made us feel truly welcome, which feels increasingly rare these days.
We were looked after so well from start to finish that it made an already great meal even more enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back again and again. Thank you, Kiera, for making our evening so special.
