- SSspeedyone1980Sep 29, 20265.0First visit and although this might be a first impression, but it was good enough to rate it at 5 stars. We spent one night there and checked in late Staff were super friendly (thank you Kenzie). We were swiftly checked in and all our questions were answered professionally. We took a room at the Sandford building and the view was good and the small balcony was a perk. Room service menus was good and we had the burger and pizza (Margarita). All was cooked with fresh ingredients. I loved how crunchy the onion rings were, haven’t had such crunchy onion rings for a while! The room was spacious and very clean. Bathroom was clean as well and the idea of putting a small light was genius as you don’t need to keep lights on all night long in case you need to get up at night. Room temperature was ideal and you can easily control it too. The downside though was that USB connection was far of the bed so you cannot keep the phone close to you charging (maybe it was meant to fb that way) but not a deal breaker. There is a lot of space around for a lovely morning walk or run and breakfast was good too. For EV drivers, there is a charging facility on-site and it’s run by a theirs party. Parking felt a bit tightly squeezed as parking spaces were tight, luckily the hotel wasn’t too busy so it wasn’t a problem (you pay for the parking on checking in) Overall it’s a great place to stay for a weekend and will definitely visit again for a longer stay
- GGGazSep 25, 20264.0Lovely hotel in beautiful grounds, right on the river Thames. Within easy reach of Oxford. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and well equipped. The only reason I give it a 4 star overall is because of the rabbit warren layout to get to your rooms. It is tricky, especially if you have a disability. I would advise consulting with the hotel beforehand to ensure you get an accessible room if mobility is an issue.
- CCCaroSep 19, 20262.0We booked this hotel as a baby moon treat and honestly it was really ruined from the moment we arrived, finding out as a paying guest (paying around £200 a night) that you still have to pay £10 a day for parking (yet also finding out aome concessions are exempt from charges!) Absolutely ludicrous and ruined the whole experience to be honest. The rooms were quite big but the bathroom was dated. For a 4 star hotel I wouldn’t even give it 2.

We booked our stay back in Aus and the process from booking to check out was very simple with lovely accomodating staff! a truly lovely hotel with lots to offer if we had more time set in a beautiful old english manor!✨
