During our 13-day trip around the UK, this was by far the worst hotel experience we had. After this stay, I don’t think I will choose Premier Inn again.
I booked two Family Rooms through the Premier Inn app, and the room descriptions showed that both came with king-size beds. However, when we arrived, one of the rooms was a very small corner room with what appeared to be a queen-size bed and a sofa bed. There was less than three feet of space on either side to walk through.
I went to reception and explained that the room did not match what I had booked. The staff member told me that the hotel did not have any rooms with king-size beds and that any room with a bed and a sofa bed was considered a “Family Room.” This was my first stay at a Premier Inn, but certainly not my first time travelling, and I found this room policy very strange and misleading.
The room also felt very humid. Even worse, the air-conditioning vent blew directly towards the beds and our heads, making for a very uncomfortable night.
When I raised all these issues at reception and asked whether we could change rooms, I was simply told that everything was normal. Perhaps he was right—maybe this is all perfectly normal for this hotel. In that case, my mistake was trusting the brand and choosing to stay here in the first place.
Finally, I was disappointed with the attitude at reception. I wouldn’t describe the staff as rude, but they were certainly not warm, welcoming, or particularly interested in helping resolve the problem.
Overall, a very disappointing experience. No more Premier Inn for me.

Our for a premium it was ok, some weren’t to expectations…
The hallway to lifts smells like dampness or mouldy not very appealing.
When we were about to check out … lifts weren’t available to use as been inspection, would been nice to let out or be use to customers who are checking out first … do this service to inspect after all checking out 12:30pm and before 3pm
Checking in time. My advice !

I stayed here for one night and omg the smell in the hallway was absolutely vile. The carpet was damp and stuck to your shoes. That’s a risk to people’s health as the smell is so awful. I felt bad for the staff as it’s down to management to sort all this out. On top of everything the lifts were out of order BOTH of them! Again no signs or warnings.

The location is fantastic, close to everything in Oxford, the staff are friendly and efficient, the breakfast was fine though the airco was in freezing mode, but the hotel itself is bad, carpet in the room and in the hallways, dusty and unhealthy, elevators out of order, window in the room doesn't open so you have to keep the airco on although the temperature was ideal for a good night's sleep, such a waste of energy and an attack on my sinuses, bathroom smelly and not very clean, bath so high I had difficulty climbing in and out although I'm tall. Luckily the weather was perfect and Oxford is a great town, so we didn't have to spend more time in the hotel than necessary.
