Premier Plus room - worth the bit extra! Shower was fab, very handy having the mini fridge too. Beds and pillows excellent.
Straight off the M40, ideal for our meeting point the next day. Did almost miss the turn off from the main road though as not signposted and signs not visible on hotel itself as situated behind the Costa Coffee.
A staff member helped me with the screen check in (what happened to just having a good old reception desk?!), ate at their restaurant in the evening which was great food and service. Breakfast standard.

Shabby. The armchairs at the bar say it all. A few hundred pounds surely wouldn’t break the bank to replace these chairs. Obviously, first impressions are important and it beggars belief that management of this Hotel have not changed the furniture.
Other features include an outside dining area with a broken umbrella and tables that clearly have not been cleaned for months.
The chair in the bedroom is stained and dirty.

We have stayed at this hotel many times since it was a Holiday Inn Express before becoming a Premier Inn however service standards have gone down hill over the last year or so.
The Premier Plus rooms are very nice but you need daily service to replenish things like water, coffee pods, chocolates etc which are all part of the Plus room deal.
You have to request daily room service at reception. We do as a matter of principle however, it is frequently not provided. This time, it was not done at all on a three night stay and in February when we stayed for 4 nights is was only done once. Why not include daily service in the Premier Plus room price??
It took requests to three different staff members to obtain replenishments of water, coffee, loo rolls etc. Not great service.
The location is convenient for the M40 and Banbury and the sound insultation is excellent. There is a lot of parking but the area near the Premier Inn was full on each of our three nights.

DO NOT LEAVE VALUABLES IN ROOM.
Everything was fine up until we went to breakfast in the morning.
Upon return we were missing bank cards and a purse with £255 inside.
With the hotel being a halfway point we didn't have the time to address this any further. We spoke to reception who checked the room which, at this point, was pointless but gave them a window of opportunity to do the right right.
I was already in the process of freezing the cards and am stuck unfreezing cards anytime we want to pay for anything for the next two weeks with no method of withdrawing cash.
For a family who survive on benefits, who've scrimped and saved for a year, using an installment plan of a budget holiday. We thought we'd found a bargain with the hotel being so cheap and along our journey it had eased pressure.
I would have cancelled our stay at another site of the chain but we have nothing to lose, they've already stolen all our money and cards.
We won't be using Premier inn ever again after this. I'd rather sleep on the streets.
