Convenient for a stay for Silverstone however for the price of it I wouldn’t expect the dirtiness of the room which had thick dust on the extractor fan, our towels were stained and when we asked for different ones a staff member wasn’t apologetic which just showed however unbothered they were, we were also not informed that we would need to book a table in the restaurant for the evening so when we arrived back late in the evening we were turned away then had to drive 20 minutes into town to find somewhere to eat which was also very disappointing. Overall not really what we had expected when booking a premier inn, we also contacted customer services with our compliant which was very quickly disregarded, they advertise as a “good night guarantee” but when you contact about this they disregard it, very false advertising

No aircon so not great in summer! For a quick overnight stay it is what it is. Paid parking is a cheek if you are a paying guest in my opinion.

Once a Travel Lodge, always a Travel Lodge. I can't quite put my finger on it, but you can tell.... perhaps it's the lack of air conditioning (although the fans were good) in the standard rooms, the lack of a lift to the 1st floor or just the general layout. It's a shame because the staff were welcoming and efficient. Bed was comfortable and the room quite large for a standard room (although I did feel it smelled a bit as if someone had been smoking in the room - though I should say my wife didn't have the same impression, so perhaps I was being overly sensitive). The location being "Oxford South" is a bit of a joke though. Bit like Luton "London" Airport... Even calling it Didcot would be a bit of a stretch.

Unless your idea of a luxury getaway is paying good money to be slow-roasted like a forgotten gas station hot dog, avoid this tragic excuse for a hotel at all costs. It was a perfectly pleasant 20°C outside, but the penny-pinching corporate skinflints who own this building have somehow engineered a physical impossibility: a room that aggressively incubates to an ungodly 29°C. The air conditioning is essentially a decorative plastic wall tumor, and the window opens just enough to slip a single parking ticket through. Which is fitting, because you’d have to be legally oblivious to accept these living conditions without demanding answers. As I sat there violently marinating in my own sweat, I went to the lobby to unleash my frustration on the front desk. But guess what? There are no staff. Management is clearly too cheap to employ real human beings—probably because a real person would feel too much shame looking their guests in the eye. I tried pleading my case to the automated check-in kiosks, but they cared about my impending heatstroke about as much as the greedy executive who franchised this overpriced air-fryer. To combat the fact that the room has the exact climate of a crowded reptile enclosure, you are provided with one pathetically small fan. It doesn't actually cool the room; it just violently whips the humid air back into your face while vibrating with the acoustic presence of a dying lawnmower. Think you can drown out the fan noise with the TV? Good luck with that. Some joyless micromanager locked the maximum volume at a whisper detectable only by stray bats, dogs, and the bacteria currently multiplying on the bathroom grout. You just get to sit in boiling, sweaty silence while a desk fan rattles your remaining sanity away. I genuinely would have had a more comfortable, dignified night's sleep curled up in a plastic recycling bin in the midday sun. Save your money and sleep on a local park bench. At least the pigeons won't charge your credit card for the privilege of treating you with complete disrespect.
