  Lovely hotel - you always know what to expect when you stay at a Premier Inn!! The breakfasts were excellent, with a steady supply of hot and cold food. The staff in the restaurant and on reception were excellent - very kind and helpful. Just be wary of the parking - it is controlled by Horizon who are very quick to ticket, which is a shame when everything else was so good. Lovely stay - highly recommend.

  Absolutely AWFUL service. On arrival no one was there to check me in for over 20mins. Then when someone did come they rolled there eyes and pointed at the machines...I used the machine and it crashed thats why I was there waiting for you!! Finally got checked in. Went to my room and it stunk of mould...and there was more skit marks in the loo than the M1... Went down stairs to have a drink and some food and was told the machines are all off line and they couldnt serve and food or drink! Great!! So i then tried to book a just eat and I couldnt because the WiFi was down and due to the area I didnt have signal.... asked at the desk after another 10min wait if they could book a taxi and he said cant you use ur phone..... no mate ive not got a signal..... at this point I lost my S*** Don't stop.in this ABSOLUTELY GOD DAM AWFUL PLACE.....

  I don't know what's happening to Premier Inn! Each Inn seems to have a slightly different cleanliness issue, Newbury is sticky carpets, Botley is black mould, and Abingdon is carpets that haven't seen a proper vacuum cleaner in weeks! The previous occupant of my room must have been a smoker, I found cigarette ash on the carpet; I might have missed it amongst the crumbs, clump of hair, and toenail; but it was obvious from the smell of stale cigarette smoke. I'd have opened a window, but Premier Inn windows don't open. Plus points for this Inn: the bathroom was pretty clean (only a few limescale spots) and the soap hadn't been watered down. Thankfully they also hadn't installed the terrible water saving taps. Parking is not inclusive so be prepared for £4.50 extra per night! Why not include it in the room rate?! I'll bring my own mini vacuum cleaner if I return.
