One of the best premier inn rooms I’ve been in. Spacious and comfortable with a comfortable bed. Shower is one of those ones designed by a shortarse - tall people will wet the floor and need to contort. Staff seemed pleasant enough, they weren’t rude and they weren’t overly super pleasant either. They said please, thank you and greeted correctly depending on the time of day - which is more than you get at Travelodge. I didn’t have nor want the need to converse or interact with them much anyway, so there’s that I guess. Location was perfect for my purposes but I can’t speak for yours. My room had a lovely view of hospital buildings- if that’s not your thing then you should try and get a different room or lower your standards for once in your privileged life. Breakfast was ok. Sausages were a bit on the cheap side and the toaster was a bit slow. I’m sure the setting had been altered by a resident so not really the hotels fault. In all, clean and sanitary, a little worn around the edges but nothing special for the price. It’ll do. Could be worse I guess.

Great location, plenty of parking with the fabulous dormouse pub very close by. At just 1.6 miles from the city centre, its within walking distance which solves city centre parking, its also on a main bus route if you don't want to walk.

Good location as quiet but short drive to amenities. Quite a nice welcome but disappointed with the room. We booked a Premier Plus just for the fridge but the room was small and needed a really good clean. There was somewhere to hang clothes but nowhere to put folded clothes so just left them in our case. As usual, the comfy bed was the best thing about the room!

Booked a premier plus room for a one-night stay earlier this month. Upon arrival, the man managing the reception area didn't seem the friendliest but he was helpful enough to allow an early check in. The room itself was okay. It had seen better days but thankfully, the aircon worked! The mattress on the bed was not a quality one that is advertised across all premier inns, it appeared to be a typical spring mattress but it was okay for an overnight stay. The hotel itself has no lift but the stairs aren't too bad as they're not excessive. The area and hotel itself is relatively quiet although the chatter from the room above could be overheard early on the Sunday morning. The hotel is very conveniently located close to a bus stop that is less than a 10 min walk away which is handy for getting to and from the city centre which is ideal for visitors to York. There is also free car parking with plenty of space and a pub next to it for those wanting to have a drink and/or food (didn't visit). Overall, I would stay here again as generally it was a nice, quiet area with convenient links into the city centre.
