Great one nights stay, excellent value for money. The rooms have been refurbished, particularly liked the new bathroom, excellent shower, now with glass door instead of the old shower curtain. Want to mention the lovely staff, Anya and Jenny on reception and Harris who works in the bar/restaurant next door (still owned by Premier Inn) all of them extremely welcoming and friendly. Lovely little village of Gargrave just half a mile away, with a footpath straight from hotel.
The staff were friendly but unfortunately they were short staffed as the cooked breakfast was not available.
The rooms were fine, but there was cobwebs behind the net curtains.
The site felt like it was under some sort of construction as half the carpark had been fenced off and it also felt a little run down.

When arriving from a 4 .5 hour journey we were greated by a very unfriendly receptionist named issac , we were 15 minutes early for check which he bluntly pointed out , and said there would be a £15 early check in charge when we asked if we could use a toilet . We asked if there was somewhere to wait and buy a cup of tea he said no.
After checking in later with a lovely female receptionist the stay improved
Room was ok , quiet and comfortable.
There was no hot breakfast on our first morning due to staff issues but we had recived an email the day before letting us know, but there was a continental breakfast offered and the staff from then on were very nice.
The hotel is undergoing some renovations and the restaurant next door looked a bit tired and unloved .
It was a good base for everything we wanted to see and do .
Stayed here for four nights and couldn’t fault the place. Good location for where we were visiting. Would stay again. Never used the bar or restaurant. Always looked pretty empty. Had more than a few family who live local say it used to be open to the public but were disappointed it is not anymore.

Great location by the canal..Room was fine. Evening bar and check in staff were really good and friendly.
Seemed to be a little under staffed
You couldn't get food until 6pm from the bar but chef wasn't there at that time so had to wait to place order.
Very strong odour whilst walking the corridor was rather unpleasant also noticed this is the pub although not quite as bad.
