  We stayed here as a stop over before heading to Flamingo Land the following day. It was clean and exactly what youd expect from a Premier inn. Check-in was quick and easy. Although there is never staff to be seen at reception. Breakfast the following morning was tasty and items were restocked quickly. My only issue was trying to get in contact after our stay regarding an item we left in our room, they never did get back to us. All in all the stay was good, until you need assistance then there's just no customer service.

  The staff work tremendously hard. The hotel itself is what you would expect and is very pleasant. We have visited yorkshire the last four years and staying here is great for travelling to the places we like to visit. Our last visit however came with an unpleasant shock, 7 parking tickets!!!!!!. We registered our car when we checked in and went about our holiday. We arrived home to a parking ticket for everytime we left for our daily outings!!!! 7!!!. I called the hotel and was told it can be sorted out but they must speak to my mother as her name was lead on the booking. I received a phone call from a very upset mum saying she was told they cant help her and she must pay!!!!. To say i was disappointed was a understatement!!. Please make sure you talk to a member of staff (if you can find one) to make sure this doesn't happen to you. £210 out of pocket!!!. This was May 1st to 4th 2026.

  The hotel was well placed and situated brilliantly for trips yo the coast or the moors, parking was ample and handy for town The service was great from really friendly staff and we felt looked after The bar area and breakfast was attentively looked after in the morning but not so much at night so lots of dirty dishes and glasses left out for some time The room was spacious and comfortable and really clean in the main area but the bathroom not so much The toilet on arrival had stains from use and the fan cover was really dusty the over bath shower was powerful but the towels were limited but after requesting more we got more Overall we had a great stay and the staff were very friendly and we would definitely return and recommend

  Hotel is immaculate. I mentioned to reception how new it looked and told was opened 5 years ago. I was surprised. We only stayed one night as had stayed at a hotel up the road for a wedding. Didn't get breakfast but was kindly able to get a coffee each before we left. Bed comfy . Bathroom nice and air con in room. Can't ask for more. Thank yiu premierinn Pickering.

  Always have a great sleep in the premier inn. Well almost always. But this was not one of the ones where I can moan. Rooms were clean breakfasts were spot on.. I liked the fact they reserved tables with 4+chairs for families... Great touch. Would highly recommend this facility. And is great for the steam train station only a 15 mins walk away.
