We’re just over a mile from the North Yorkshire Moors Railway (Pickering) Station, a refurbished steam railway that goes directly into the heart of the National Park with scenic views and a classically British experience. There’s plenty of other things to do nearby too, we’re very close to Pickering Castle, and Flamingo Land Theme Park and the Eden Camp WW2 Museum are only a short drive away. Our hotel also great links to other towns in Yorkshire like Thirsk, which is close to our other hotels in North Yorkshire.

- DHdavid howarth3 days ago4.0Relatively modern and in walking distance to Pickering, check-in wasn’t easy as limited staff around and electronic check-in seemed problematic for those that tried it and as everyone turns up at 3 it obviously becomes arduous. We arrived 1/2 an hour early and decided to get a drink at the bar unfortunately no staff available. Looking at reviews this all seems to be normal which is disappointing. Breakfast was ok good variety of hot and cold.

- SKS KJun 1, 20263.0This was my 17th different Premier Inn so I felt secure that I knew what I was getting. Overall it was as expected. Spotless hotel, comfy bed and friendly staff. However, I experienced something I have never experienced before. On Sunday, after a day exploring, we arrived back and I went to book a table for our evening meal. Only to be told "Sorry, only guests with prebooked meal deals can eat tonight!" We were on a trip exploring the area so couldn't be sure when we would be back so hadn't done the meal deal. There was no explanation for this action, just sorry, no! I was offered a list of local restaurants and a taxi number if I didn't want to drive. Oh and "This doesn't apply to breakfast, you can just turn up for that!" If you can possibly attend to everyone at breakfast, why not dinner? I was shocked and extremely disappointed with this level of service. I always thought the restaurant on site was part of the appeal but clearly not. When it suits they discriminate against people who have chosen not to commit to the meal deal in advance. After all my very successful visits I am more than a little disappointed!
- LDLisa DillinghamMay 25, 20265.0Stayed for 2 nights in a family room on the boiling hot may bank holiday weekend. The room was clean The air-conditioning worked perfectly. We slept really well. The family room was a bit bigger than many 4 bed premier inns that we have stayed in recently. Free WiFi was fine Usb chargers next to bed Normal premier inn breakfast, which was running out but staff were running off their feet trying to replace. Check in and out easy. Couldn't be more obvious that you need to put your cars number plate into the I pad to avoid a fine. Ideally located for flamingo land and north Yorkshire railway. We had a lovely walk around Pickering where there are plenty of restaurant options.
