- JOJoanne Orton3 days ago4.0Recently stayed at this hotel (3rd time) for 3 nights. Lovely check in and got upgraded to Premier Plus room. Friendly staff everyone we encountered (reception and restaurant). We only ate at restaurant once for dinner. Food was ok. Not the greatest choice from menu if being honestly. Service was ok. Had to wait a long time for drinks but waitress was apologetic and was friendly with us even though you could tell she was a bit stressed. We chose this hotel as great location to travel around the Dales. We drove to Whitby whoch was 1.5 hrs away. Also drove to Northallerton to get train to York (only 30 mins drive away). I will definitely stay again.

- VCValerie CampbellSep 6, 20264.0The hotel was easy to find but does use the car park associated with several shops. Happily this is free. The Ladies on duty (Caroline and Brodie) were delightful. Very enthusiastic and helpful. They were working both the reception and restaurant and they were busy, busy but always with a smile. The rooms are clean and tidy, and our room was quite spacious too (compared to some other hotel rooms I have stayed in. There is the usual kettle, tea and coffee available. Anything extra one may need can be asked for. We asked for extra pillows and got them. We were very happy with our experience.
