  Stayed plenty of times. Never ever again. Absolutely disgraceful customer service today. Dispute over what type of room was booked, after reading a previous review about this hotel over booking i believe that’s what happened to us today. Paid for an early check in at 11am. Arrived at half 12 told the room is not ready. This is the second time this has happened but previously did not say anything due to not liking to complain. Waiting a long time to be served while staff are outside talking between themselves/smoking. Asked to speak to management to complain and was told to go on a website to complain. Honestly wouldn’t bother with this place. Left and booked the Hilton instead. Much more better- yes more expensive but well worth it. Good customer service. Never ever again will I step foot back in here. Disgusting service, pre paid early booking not ready and zero help when a customer has a problem. Also when coming before same staff member complained about being short staffed and rooms still need cleaning when our early check in was not ready the first time. Like a guest needs to know if somewhere is short staffed like it’s our fault? Amended my booking at 5.30pm tonight to the room they claimed I booked which does not match the original e mail.

  Avoid at all costs!! The system regarding the availability of rooms is not to a high standard at all. I had booked a room for myself and my son for next weekend, but at the time of booking I couldn’t pay it upfront, so I selected their flexible booking option. I’ve now spent most of my morning trying to find a way to pay it upfront so I don’t have to worry about it on the day. The website wasn’t letting me log into my own booking, the confirmation email had links to mange my booking but they wouldn’t open up either. I found a phone number which told me to call back during opening hours but didn’t specify what they were and just cut me off. Finally I found another phone number which did work, but I had to then go through an automated system which didn’t understand half of what I was saying before eventually connecting me to an actual person. I explained I wanted to pay, he advised me that the flex option means I have to pay at the property. That’s fair enough, so I asked if it’s possible to cancel and remake my booking under one of the options that would allow me to pay at the same time as rebooking. He said this was no problem and cancelled the booking there and then. Then he tells me that he cannot rebook it as they’re full up on that date. I asked how that can be, I’m just rebooking the same room, and he told me that they were already overbooked so that room will have automatically been assigned to someone else’s booking when it was cancelled. So basically Premier Inn will tell you that you’ve got a room booked but actually over fill their capacity, which means unless people cancel there will be some people who never actually have a room booked at all! I now have to find accommodation elsewhere because of their lack of availability. I can’t give a review for Premier Inn as a whole, so I’m having to leave my review in this particular hotel as this is the one I had booked. But I never got as far as staying here, hence the review. I absolutely wouldn’t chance another booking here at all knowing there’s a chance I might not get to stay at all!

  I've been in a lot of Premier Inns over the years, and this is my first review. Just because Alex in the restaurant for breakfast was so incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful (a model employee that a lot of people should learn from), made the whole Premier Inn experience amazing. Thank you so much.

  Stayed before, and wish the Bar + Block was still there. Tiff still there in the evenings, with her great customer service and Daniel with Alex in the mornings, are always a great duo on breakfast, rooms are a little tired but great stay ,

  Had a lovely stay here! The bar and restaurant had a great atmosphere, and the food and drinks were really enjoyable. Reception was also welcoming and helpful throughout the stay. A special mention to Blake, who was friendly, attentive and made us feel really welcome. Great service all around and we’d definitely stay again!
