Very comfortable bed and excellent breakfast. Donovan was especially helpful in answering our queries about extending our booking, keeping the same room and explaining the process for parking. He was friendly and approachable and made the whole stay relaxing and stress-free, which we really appreciated. Thank you

Nice hotel. Standard Purple Palace. Usual breakfast quality. Staff friendly. Rooms can run warm as parts of the buildings front aspects and rooms retain the suns heat. Cinema and town not too far away as well as quite a few Asian restaurants.

First time we stay in this Premier Inn in Nottingham, the location great place where it is, access to bars, restaurants and the shops. As always when we stay at Premier Inn as stay at Premier Inn in other cities, always sleep comfortable as the mattress and pillows is the best in my opinion and two staff members stood out. We would like to praise the Manager Donovan at Premier Inn and Alice who works in the restaurant. Donovan has such a nice aura about him, he was so welcoming, he's customer service was exceptional, down to earth, we had an issue which was resolved and this was due to Donovan excellence customer service which he made a positive experience and stay. Thank you Donovan it has been a pleasure talking with you and for Alice in the restaurant who was very bubbly, again welcoming and very down to earth, great customer service. Both members of staff great asset to Premier Inn.

Chapel bar premier will always be my first choice when visiting my son in Nottingham. I have given the hotel all five stars and would like to commend a member of staff. This is my second visit to chapel bar this year and won't be my last. To be recognised and welcomed like an old friend by my host "Alex" was quite honestly overwhelming and she should be commended. Alex must deal with thousands of customers throughout the year and to recognise/remember me and greet me with such a warm welcome was quite honestly humbling and takes customer care to a whole new level!!! Alex has won me as a loyal Premier inn customer and I will return time and time again. I would describe Alex as a proper Nottingham girl with proper values and she has also given me the city of Nottingham which I am also falling for. Thank you very much Premier inn and thank you Alex.

We stayed on Saturday 9th May 2026 and encountered a fire alarm at approximately 5 AM the following morning (today). I understand that on occasion this can happen unexpectedly and it would appear that the alarm was triggered by smoke on the third floor. The handling of this incident was concerning. There seemed to be only one staff member present to manage the situation, indicating a lack of established fire safety protocols or proper training. In the entrance lobby, many residents were congregated, blocking the hallways, while the staff member appeared overwhelmed. Two hotel residents stepped in to assist with a user manual for the fire alarm, whilst other residents were outside extremely cold and were provided no information as to what was happening. Some residents were told to evacuate outside whilst others were told that they could remain inside the lobby and quite a few were allowed to return to their rooms despite the alarm still sounding. This is extremely confusing and dangerous to say the least. The member of staff could be heard to repeatedly say “I don’t know how to switch it off”. This debacle went on for over an hour and at no point were basic checks conducted like room sweeps to see who was still in the building. If this had been a large scale fire then I have no doubt countless lives would have been lost. Staff were dismissive when leaving and when approached on how to make a complaint regarding this experience, we were simply given a card which said we had to report it within 7 days. We didn’t even receive an apology and as I was leaving I heard one member of staff shout to another “305 will be making a complaint”. That conversation should be held privately rather than be shouted out across the lobby for others to hear. This was later reported to guest relations who said that they have done a full investigation and it was all the fault of someone vaping in their room. No offer of compensation. No response to the concerns raised about staff training. Makes an absolute mockery of their “Good Night Guarantee”.
