  This was our first Holiday Inn Express experience. It was a stopover night heading north to Scotland. When we require a budget hotel for a stopover it is based on the most suitable location rather than the hotel chain. I can honestly state that Travelodge and Premier Inn have not had a patch on the service we experienced at Holiday Inn Express, Strathclyde. The staff were so caring friendly and efficient. The bar was lovely and very friendly. There was a lovely Asian Wedding Party stopping over and they were all so nice. The breakfast was as good as we have had staying in other higher graded hotels. It was lovely. However, the best experience of all was by our two dogs, a Westie and a Tibetan Terrier. They were treated like VIPs by the staff and indeed the wedding party. This was such a pleasant surprise after a long 240 mile drive in 33°c heatwave. Holiday Inn Express will be my goto budget hotel in future and Holiday Inn Express, Strathclyde will be our rest stop when going to Scotland in future. A truly wonderful and restful experience. Just ask our two rascals..

  Ideal, close to many motorway links for on ward travel or city breaks, 20mins from both major cities.

  Very compact rooms...we were 3 persons room but accommodation was so difficult to sleep..not even proper walking space also..

  Loud guests and constant firedoors banging from rowdy guests. Not much sleep and the travel bus crew were msin cause.Not worth the stop I'll look on for better in the IGH hotels. This one is better off my list. Staffare friendly I hate to leave a poor review when it's the crowd of occupants.
