  Muy bien situado, las habitaciones están bien doradas y son suficientemente amplias aunque el servicio de limpieza hay q contratarlo por días, no recogen ni las papeleras de los dormitorios. El servicio de restaurante muy mal atendido.

  When we first arrived we were welcomed and accomadated perfectly. The rooms needed a deep clean with dust in the corners ect, but okay. And the view over the city was beautiful. We left having had a wonderful sleep and feeling looked after, even receiving directions to our bus. Yet, when we returned the following week, we received a completely different welcome, staff were unenthusiastic and even unhelpful. So a mixed experience. Although I would stay again in the hopes of the same experience we first enjoyed.

  We stayed 3 nights in the Premier Inn, Alfred St. We paid for bed & breakfast through Travel Republic. On 2 of the 3 mornings, there was no chef on duty and therefore no hot breakfast. We were told by reception that we would be refunded which was understood. No refund arrived and I contacted Travel Republic with my complaint. The hotel refused outright to refund stating that I had no written evidence to support my claim.

  The remote in my room had no batteries, I went to reception three times, first time they gave me three other remotes to try, none worked. Second time they gave me batteries from another remote, which didn’t work. Third time they said there’s nothing we can do. The next morning I left my room at 7:45am and left the ‘please clean my room’ sign on my door, also leaving my towels in the bath to get fresh ones. I got back to my room at 6:00pm to find the sign still on the door. My room hadn’t been cleaned so I had to go to reception to get new towels.

  Wow, what can I say? I stay in Premier Inn’s up and down the country all of the time for work and pleasure. In fact, I arranged to have a corporate account with Premier Inn as their hotels are so useful and handy. This has got to be one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in within the UK. The staff are the rudest and the most obnoxious I’ve ever come across; on arrival, the two women at reception thought it was acceptable to make fun of my name (?). When I didn’t join in the ‘banter’ they got hostile… ‘oh, your face! have you had a bad day?’ They asked. At 8:15, we went for dinner, and we were told, unapologetically, that even though there were only three tables occupied out of around 30 that there was no availability until 915! When I questioned this, the lady (who was the same lady that ‘greeted’ me on arrival) basically said they were shortstaffed. There was no apology. So we went to the Clayton over the road and had a lovely meal. When we came back at 9:30, the bar was closed except for Guinness and Magnus. Again, no apology, just a scornful face and an attitude. So we retired to bed. That’s when the fun really began! The double glazing in this hotel is clearly just there for show. As there is a nightclub around the corner, I was kept awake all night by screaming teenagers. Given the choice between staying in a prison, and staying in this hotel again, I will choose the prison every time.
