- CMColin McReavie5 days ago3.0If you want to find somewhere as a base to stay in County Down, Bangor is the place. And if staying in Bangor the Premier Inn is in a great location. Only a few minutes walk from the coast, two minutes walk to the train station for a pleasant train ride into Belfast, and if you have a car then one is able to drive anywhere in N. Ireland with ease.

The stay was adequate but what has really upset us is that during our stay my wife fell and broke her arm getting out of the shower. The tub was very high and the area to stand in there was extremely narrow. She required surgery once we returned home. The hotel staff took a safety report but no one from the hotel chain has ever followed up to ask how she was doing. I am surprised by the lack of concern and poor customer service
