Comfy room but standout was the staff and (believe it or not, for a hotel) the restaurant. The food really was excellent-I have stayed literally thousands of nights in hotels over my years of leisure and business travel and always dread going to hotel restaurants but am so glad I went to this one! The food was excellent - pies and meat from a local butcher, and a chef who knows what he/she is doing. And great staff who make you feel welcome. 10/10

The Positives: • Location: Fantastic, especially when travelling with kids. It's within walking distance of the marina shopping centre—you just cross the street if you need to grab something you forgot! • Parking: Loads of parking available, and the pricing is very reasonable. • Cleanliness & Staff: The hotel itself was very clean, and the staff were lovely and welcoming throughout our stay. The Food: We paid for the breakfast. While the eggs were a bit too undercooked for my personal taste, it wasn't a huge deal. We were initially very impressed to see a dedicated gluten-free area for my husband, who is coeliac. However, the GF bread tasted a bit stale, as if it had been left out overnight. If they improve the bread quality, the breakfast would be excellent. The Rooms: Our only major issue was the beds. The mattresses were very hard, making it difficult to fall asleep and causing us to wake up frequently. I checked with others in our group staying in different rooms, and they all shared the exact same opinion about the uncomfortable mattresses.
