The room was nice enough, on the 6th floor. Basic but clean, worn in some places. Not usual IHG standard. I thought the windows were open because of the road noise but they were closed.... Cars races up and down outside revving engines. We stayed on a Thursday night. I emailed the hotel and booked parking- I got given a different postcode in that email to direct me to the parking, it was completely wrong, I called the hotel while trying to locate the parking and they said just use the hotel postcode, which worked. Front desk staff were abrupt and not at all welcoming we waited behind a group checking in and then when we got to the front the guy looked at us and said 'go there' pointing further round the desk where his colleague had just arrived. Odd experience. I visit Nottingham alot, this was my first and last time at this hotel.

Great small hotel near the centre of Nottingham, very little onsite parking but great for those arriving by public transport

Great large room with AC, short walking distance to city centre. Close to lots of bats. Restaurants and shopping area.

Brilliant hotel, lovely location. The rooms are very very clean and spacious, the beds although 2 singles pushed together are very comfortable. The reception team are fantastic and very welcoming. The only advice I would give is something small - signage for the accessible entrance via a ramp needs to be larger/easier to read instead of walking up to the hotel and being presented with a set of stairs straight away. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend the hotel to anyone.

NOT A REAL IHG HOTEL! FILTHY AND UNSAFE! AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE! This is easily the worst and most frightening hotel experience I’ve ever had. I had assumed this was an IHG hotel and so thought I would be able to expect a certain standard of hotel but after composing I have recently learned they’ve taken over a previously failing (possibly bankrupt) hotel and leased the IHG name from them. I didn’t realise this was a thing and now I’m legitimately traumatised no matter how many points my account has I simply do not trust IHG as a company if they lend their name to completely horrible sewer places like this. The problems started before I even entered the hotel. No parking, you have to pay extortionate fees up the road which I was not made aware of. It’s a dodgy area of the city. I didn’t like dragging my suitcase from the car into the hotel as many shady characters hanging around and homeless people sleeping in doorways and begging for change in the middle of the day. The entrance was covered in cigarette butts, there was a strong smell of urine, and groups of people who appeared to be homeless and using drugs were lingering around outside. It didn’t feel like a safe or welcoming place to arrive, especially after dark. Unfortunately, things didn’t improve inside. The hotel felt shabby, and after reading other guests’ reviews it seems many people have experienced similar issues with cleanliness, maintenance and rude and unwelcoming customer service (an understatement). Rooms were boiling, loud, faulty air conditioning (or lack of). Mould in the bathroom and tired depressing looking rooms. One male member of staff made comments about my appearance which made me feel extremely uncomfortable. When I reported this to another male member of staff (no women or security available on site anywhere at the time which was distressing). I was shocked, I felt upset and dehumanised. Most of all I felt unsafe as obviously they knew I was alone and which room I was in. I’m not a confrontational person so it made me anxious to have to ask for help but I felt genuinely unnerved. I assumed that any normal person would agree what happened was entirely outrageous and would offer me some kind of reassurance that I was safe here and this behaviour was not normal. Instead of taking my concerns seriously or showing any empathy, I was completely dismissed, scoffed, scowled and sneered at then abruptly told that if I didn’t like it, I should take the loss (because no refunds) and stay somewhere else. I’m absolutely horrified that in 2026 not only as a paying customer but as a woman it would just be standard that I would be treated in such a sexual and threatening way. I left in absolute tears and I feel genuinely shaken by my experience here. For the love of God stay away from this weird hell hole. I’ve travelled all over the world and stayed in every kind of place and this is the first time I’ve ever been made to feel unsafe in such a casually hateful way. I pray this place closes as I’m genuinely afraid for any women that make the same mistake I did by staying here.
