  Good location near the kart track we were at and Abbey gave us a warm welcome when we arrived the 2nd night. She was very friendly and helped us navigate things we needed to.

  My second and unplanned nights stay was made all the better as Abbey checked me in, reminded me about parking payment and was very welcoming. Thanks Abbey. Location was ideal given where I was working. Had to make use of room fan as it was warm and no AC. Room was clean and you do know what you’re getting. No reflection on Abbey, however, I used to book Premier Inns more or less all the time when working away. I have to say since Covid, the hotels generally unless new are looking a little dated and maintenance seems to be lacking. The push for the new Evo style restaurant is off putting as they are similar to a dentist waiting room. At least Newark had a pub restaurant that had an atmosphere. Whilst you can still bag a bargain room, more often than not cost is equivalent or sometimes less with some of the better chains or even a decent pub with room. So, one night or two unplanned, if the location works, stick with Premier Inn but if there’s something a little better in the general location, I take that. Certainly for 2 night or more, there are more pleasant places to stay.

  And yet another Premier Inn that cannot understand that, in period of heat wave and without air con, to be able to open a window is what is needed. All of this for health and safety reasons, which I understand. But I am an adult, with no children in the room and therefore, I should be given the possibility to disable the child safety to be able to breathe on the room. This is disgraceful.

  I have to say what a lovely welcome we received from Abbey! She’s so friendly l. Room nice and has air con! Normally an issue in the uk but as it 34 degrees out we are very grateful. Next to a McDonald’s, krc and beefeater and near the main road do not the prettiest area but services its purpose, 20 mins walk to train station, 25-30 into Newarke, which is lovely and direct train to Lincoln where the cathedral is lovely

  We booked a room here to break a very long journey. I was concerned about arriving very late so was very relieved when Abbey replied promptly to my message reassuring us that it wouldn’t be a problem. As luck would have it, Abbey was also on duty when we did arrive and gave us a really warm and friendly welcome. This is what service should be like- she was effortlessly efficient and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. Thank you Abbey!
