  tried to get a meal in the warrener ,we had not booked saw lots of empty tables, nobody at the door to greet us so sat down went to the bar to order and was asked what table and did someone show us to a table obviously not as there was noone around only to be told they dont do walk ins until after 7.15 this was 5.30 and meals start at 6pm very abrubptly, not very accomodating, almost to the point of rudeness we wont stay there again

  Quite possibly the worst Premier Inn I've stayed in and I've stayed in a lot! To start with I drink a lot of water however even after running the cold tap for 10 mins it was still luke warm. I went to reception to let them know to be told there was nothing they could do as receptionist was there on their own. She did say I could get a jug of ice water from the bar which was good. Overnight the room was actually freezing. Both me and a colleague in separate rooms had the same issue. The heating was stuck at 18/19 degrees and when you increased it, it went immediately back down. We booked breakfast for 10am (finishes at 10:30). I'm a quick eater, easily be out there by then. On arrival I was sternly told "we shut at 10:30" as if to get me to leave then was told "sit over there as we're shutting". Pointing to the far corner of the restaurant. I wasn't shown where anything was but found it easily enough then tracked someone down to order poached eggs. About 5 mins later a person came over and said "we've thrown the water away, it's gonna take forever to heat up for your eggs, you gonna wait?" To which I answered yes and some mumbling occurred. They started packing away the food at 10:15 (toast and bread products) but luckily already had my toast. When I got my poached eggs the hot food from the hot plates was freezing. I suppose all I'm trying to point out is don't advertise a breakfast buffet as ending at 10:30 if you want to close it sooner and certainly don't be shirty with me about it! Would I stay again? Nope!

  Premier plus room so better than the normal rooms. Quite expensive tho. Waited more than 5 minutes at reception to check in which wasn't ideal but staff were friendly & helpful

  I spent two nights here with my brother in the next room. Although my bathroom was clean, it had a faint smell of wee. The extractor fan for the bathroom was so noisy I didn't want to put it on. Although my window could open, my room was just above the extractor fan for the kitchen, so was noisy. And the first night someone was standing just below my window smoking,which as the air vent at the top of the window was wedged open,meant my room then smelt of cigarettes. As this Premier Inn is used by workmen/builders, my brother said someone was knocking on the door opposite his room at 5am, and then the workmen were leaving up until 6am, banging doors. We were in rooms just above the reception area. The restaurant is run down. The staff were doing their best. But the overall experience at this Premier Inn wasn't good.

  Only stayed for one night but exceptional value for money. Rooms are spacious, clean and well equipped.
