Hunstanton SEA LIFE Sanctuary is Norfolk’s only seal sanctuary open to visitors and is home to over 2,000 creatures, from tiny shrimps to Amazonian Piranhas! Boasting a state of the art marine aquarium taking visitors on a memorable undersea odyssey filled with amazing close encounters with sea creatures of astonishing variety in spectacular ‘high-tech’ displays.
Don't miss our dedicated seal rescue hospital where we rescue, rehabilitate and release to the wild more than 40 orphaned or sickly Grey & Common seal pups every year. Visitors can see our "new arrivals", juveniles in the nursery ward, a spacious outdoor pool with underwater viewing area. Other highlights include our otterly adorable family of Asian Short Clawed Otters, Colony of Humboldt Penguins and a whole host of spectacular marine creatures. Get a fantastic and closer look of our sharks and Green Sea Turtle via our underwater walk-through tunnel.
Really lovely experience. I felt the staff were so caring and knowledgeable. Despite being a smallish centre there are many interesting animals. We enjoyed the talks in the shark tank and the seal feeding with Summer - she’s very enthusiastic. We booked online in seconds, no problem and were happy to support the preservation work of the centre.

This was a really disappointing visit. We went for my 6 year olds birthday.
To be fair the staff were all kind, polite and very helpful. The actual venue clean and well kept.
However it only took 30 minutes for us to walk through the entire place. And we weren’t going quickly, that was well placed. It’s a really small location.
We purchased a rangers pack online before we went. Unfortunately not all the animals or activities were actually available at this sealife so it wasn’t possible to complete it. A number of the facts and information were placed too high for a child to read. So we missed quite a few and went back round to find some (and still only took 30 minutes)
There was only one sea lion part open, and 2 there. Likely good news as means that they haven’t had to rescue any but there wasn’t an explanation that this was the case.
There were several of us trying to go round the otter enclosure and find the actual otters. None of us managed it. We genuinely concluded they weren’t hiding but there were none in there.
All in disappointing and not worth the money

I visited SEA LIFE Hunstanton with my 2-year-old grandson, thinking it would be a quick visit, but he absolutely loved it! The place is much bigger than it looks from the outside, and there is plenty to see.
There is a great variety of fish and sea animals, as well as a sanctuary - at the time of our visit there was a turtle and seals. We also enjoyed the seals being fed and the sea tunnel offering a beautiful underwater view. The penguins in the open area were another favourite.
I would recommend buying an annual pass rather than a single-visit ticket, as the annual ticket is actually better value. If you’re planning to visit more than once, it’s definitely worth considering.
A really nice place to visit with young children, and definitely worth allowing more time than you might expect. We had a fantastic time!

A small Sea Life centre, USP being the seals and they also have otters (and penguins) in addition to the usual fish . Electronic information boards were disappointing - they change at different intervals, some too fast before you can read the information while others took ages and you had to wait for ages for the information to come round for the fish you want to know about. Also some didn't show all the fish in the tank so we waited ages and never got the information we wanted and ended up googling it! I understand the usefulness of electronic boards that can be changed over printed ones but a separate one for each creature please as there used to be!

My family, surprise me with a visit to Sea Life Hunstanton Today for my birthday and my favourite part was definitely the sharks and listening to a member of staff talk about sharks and learn more about them
Also loved seeing all the other animals, creatures too and all the staff were friendly, helpful and some even wished me a Happy Birthday
I definitely want to try out VIP Shark Feeding Experience next time I visit
Definitely recommend this place to anyone who lives or visit Hunstanton
