Excellent value hotel for a visit to the city centre. Walkable from the railway station and all the main sites. Very quiet at night for such a central location. Highly recommend.

You always know what you're going to get when you use a Premier Inn, so this one we chose for a one night stop over was nothing out of the ordinary. The room was lovely and clean, but the curtain was hanging down on one side and there was only one tiny sachet of coffee in the little plastic box. Attention to detail is everything in the hospitality industry, so these 2 issues should have been rectified before allowing visitors in. The room and location get 5 stars but only 3 for service due to the check in staff looking like they didn't want to be there and also having one rule for one, and one rule for someone else. We arrives at 2.35pm and was told by the last at check in that we would have to wait until 3pm. That's all fine until 2 minutes later a party of 4 arrived and admitted to the same member of staff that they are early but can they check in. She proceeded to check them in so was busy when another visitor arrived to check in as well. Another member of staff came to the front and started checking him in also, before 3pm. This is now 2 sets of visitors checking in before 3pm, who said they were early, yet we got told to wait. After the second visitor checked in, we went to the counter and double checked whether we could check in, seeing as how 2 others had done so whilst we waited. We were then checked in and off to our room. If you paid for early check in, that's one thing but, to openly state you are early then still get checked in ahead of other guests waiting until 3pm, shows the staff need retaining in their own rules and customer care. Overall, a very convenient place to stay, clean, tidy and very quiet, I even fixed the curtain for them, so would go back again.

Sehr gutes 3 Sterne Hotel. In Deutschland wäre das mindestens 4 Sterne. Frühstück war gut und frisch. Sehr zentrale Lage. Check out auch erst 12 Uhr. Hat uns sehr gefallen.

Returned for our yearly week holiday. Checked in Sunday evening after arriving too early into room 128. Room at first looked very decent. Not much of a view but that didn't matter. Sunday night with the lights off both smoke detectors were continuously flashing red. Went down to reception and staff checked it out but wasn't willing to touch them incase it set the whole building, so had very little sleep. Went to back first thing to reception with hardly any sleep and they said they would get maintenance to check it whilst we were out. Turned and was told all there smoke detectors flash red and nothing could be done about the flashing. On 2nd night found dried blood stain on mattress protector by accident has my son had kicked off the bed sheet and there is was dried multiple blood droplets on the protector! We was moved immediately in the morning and passed between reception and customer service online for the next few days and today to wait until checked out. We left Friday afternoon. Apart from the Sunday reception desk staff, the rest of the staff didn't seem like they cared. Re contacted customer service on Saturday and requested refund for the first 2 nights stay because of the dried blood stain they offered 25 as good will gesture. Dirty housekeeping. God knows how long it was like that!

Hello everyone. This review is to wish the staff James, Lana, Les and Rachel the very very best. It’s sad that you are all maybe leaving. James the Premire inn wont know Whats hit them when you are not there. All you guys above have always made my stays brilliant, friendly and always had a personally touch. 10 years I have been staying at this hotel. However I do feel now it’s time for me to find somewhere else to stay as it’s just not got that feeling there and deffo won’t after September. No more walking into reception with a friendly smile now you have machines lol. I have used this hotel as a second home over the last ten years and met some lovely people. Each time I come one of my favourites staff have left. But I love James to bits and again I wish him all the best as he is dam good at what he does and hope he gets a new job working with customers. Thank you to all the other staff too
