Soak up Newcastle's rich shipping history at the Premier Inn Newcastle Quayside hotel. With stunning views over the River Tyne, this Grade 2 listed building is in an ideal spot for getting the most out of the city. Explore Newcastle's most popular bars and restaurants or get a taste of the local music culture at the iconic Sage Gateshead. Sports fans can watch a match at St James Park or at the Stadium of Light in neighbouring Sunderland. After a fun day out in Newcastle, you can head back for a tasty meal at our in-house Thyme restaurant before relaxing on an extra-comfy bed. As well as being a landmark of the city, the iconic Tyne Bridge is also home to a large flock of breeding Kittiwakes and - as our hotel is close by to the bridge - it's worth noting that some noise disturbance may be heard in the bedrooms.

Finished my walk along Hadrians Wall path with a night here to recover. It is almost underneath the Tyne Bridge, and the restaurant has views of the River Tyne.
Check in was busy, but luckily very efficient as I was exhausted! The hotel/room was exactly as you would expect for a Premier Inn, albeit this is one that is located inside an older building. As it is close to bars etc, and the windows are old, I recommend ear plugs if you are too tired to be joining in with the nightlife in Newcastle!
Had a decent evening meal & breakfast, the staff were friendly & helpful.

Checked in early after a long bike ride and the man on reception was so helpful and put us in a spacious room where we could also keep our bikes. The room looked newly refurbished. The hotels location is perfect for access to the quayside walk, bridges and city centre.

Rooms are basic and there’s no aircon. The main light also didn’t work in the room. I’d say for the price paid it’s fine for a short stay. The location is good for the centre.
