It’s cheap, close to A1 and metrocentre, but nothing else. The whole hotel is sad and as you enter stinks of sweaty feet. The rooms are very basic, the windows open just a crack, there is hardly any ventilation and no aircon and the sweaty sock smell continues. There is a fan but this just blasts the sweaty smell into your face. We asked to change room because of it, but the new room stunk just as bad. Last time in a premier inn for me.

I turned up to take refuge from a gridlocked A1 feeling very anxious and overheated. Julie on Reception was very very kind and professional, gave me a cup of tea and space to decide whether I needed to book a room or could continue with my journey.
Donna also put me in the quiet restaurant with the AC and iced water. They regularly checked on my well being and gave me the space and time to recover myself. Kim also helped me and found me a quieter corner when the room became busier. I wasn’t even a guest. What a great team and as an adult with A.S.D. I appreciated their calm and quiet kindness.

AVOID DURING SUMMER OR HOT WEATHER - NO AIRCON IN ROOMS & STAFF REFUSE TO OPEN LOCKED WINDOWS TO LET AIR IN ROOM stating it is down to health & safety. Rubbish desk fan provided which you can only feel if seated at desk, not in bed! If you left the thick blackout curtain open to get a small amount of air through the gap Premier would allow, you then had to sleep in a floodlit bedroom as light came in from the carpark. No sleep due to dripping in sweat all night and bright light, would have got better nights sleep in the car! They do not honour their own Quaranteed Good Nights Sleep and instead Complaints Team gaslight you. AVOID - pay for a decent hotel if you want some sleep.
Edit: Complaint logged over 2 weeks ago with photographic evidence. No response so called and emailed numerous times since to try and get a resolution. Promises of call backs and investigation to complaint never followed up despite promises by Customer Relations Team. Friends also stayed at same hotel and complained, they have been promised full refund but it has never materialised despite them chasing. Premier Inn - your standard reply to this review is your gaslighting to all Complaints made by customers.

Wow I shall never stay in this hotel again! The room has no air-conditioning and was stiflingly hot all night long and left me and my wife with very little sleep. The thermostat said the room was 27 degrees this morning. All that is provided is a desk fan that has barely any effect.
Food was decent but customer service had nothing to say about the heat other than "sorry".
