  The location is useful for events at Alexandra Palace and at least the breakfast was better than the usual Premier Inn standard, thanks to the chef. The hotel was far too hot at the time of my stay (outside temperature was 19 Celsius the day of my stay), people were visibly sweating in reception and the restaurant. I thought the friendly person on reception was joking when they said the hotel had two temperatures, Africa or the Sahara, but no, that turned out to be pretty accurate! My room's air conditioning did absolutely nothing to lower the room temperature below that of a sauna, despite my best efforts. So glad I had a personal battery fan with me, otherwise I would not have even managed the 3 hours of asleep I got. The lifts were out of order the next morning, so imagine my joy at taking my case down 8 flights of stairs in the sauna like conditions. Great staff, horrible building. Avoid unless you wither love very hot rooms or have no other option.

  We were for the 3rd time in the Premier Inn New Southgate. But this time we weren't as satisfied as the first two times. Our room (106) wasn't really clean! There was dust almost everywhere: behind the bathroom door, behind the TV, under the bed, and especially on the lower sections of the nightstands. Also, the air conditioning became extremely loud as soon as the bathroom light was turned on and the fan started running. Furthermore, there was an extremely unpleasant squeaking noise whenever the shower was used. The staff and the food were good. Even so, I’m not sure if I would come back...
