Was allocated 7th floor room - could barely walk around the double bed with probably about 1.5ft of room around it. Nowhere to hang clothes properly or to put your suitcase. Mediocre breakfast. For the price I paid I expected a lot better.

Hotel location fab, rooms average, cleanliness (?!?!?, pls do your job properly), aircon doesn't work in some rooms, staff (especially night duty team) - not focused on customer service... overall, not a nice experience, and won't be returning..

Good location - walking distance from Holborn and Russell Square stations. Lots of things nearby including Sainsbury's, coffee shops, places to eat. Pros: friendly staff (Kostas and another young lady who I spoke with about Arsenal!) and newly refurbished hotel Cons: small rooms (to be expected given location), no fridge in room.

We had a great experience staying at voco London Bloomsbury. The entire team was welcoming and attentive, with a special shoutout to Alexandria for her outstanding service, friendliness, and professionalism throughout our stay. The breakfast each morning was delicious with plenty of fresh, high-quality options to start the day. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable, making for a very relaxing stay. The location is ideal for exploring London. Highly recommended, and we would definitely return!

It has taken me a few months to basically recover and share a review. I had an awful experience at this hotel. I informed them in advance that I’d be checking in at 11pm, and my partner, an IHG Platinum member, had also requested for an upgrade, which the hotel confirmed on the morning of my arrival! Yet when I arrived, they told me they had no rooms available! It was late and I was exhausted, and although the two reception staff were kind, I had to wait while they spent ages calling around trying to find me a room elsewhere. I could hear one of them speaking with the manager in the back, and it was clear he was trying to help me, but she kept shutting him down stating, “No, I’m the manager.” I asked them to check the Kimpton but they insisted I had to go to either the Crowne Plaza or the Holiday Inn. I chose the Holiday Inn as it was closest, but after another half hour of waiting, they told me there were no rooms there either. Eventually, around midnight, after I'd asked repeatedly, they said they could get me a room at the Kimpton Fitzroy, but only if I paid £400+ rate upfront and I'd be refunded later. I agreed, I basically had no choice (and I was refunded later) but my very short stay at the Kimpton - as I had to be up early the next day - wasn’t great either as they were unwelcoming. However, my experience (or not) at the IHG Voco London Bloomsbury hotel was truly shocking. I later heard I wasn’t the only guest this happened to that evening. In fact they informed me that it was a regular occurrence that they overbooked and then sent customers to the Holiday Inn etc. A horrible experience, at midnight, and as a woman travelling alone. Most definitely avoid.
