Unfortunately, our experience at this hotel was not what we expected.
The rooms are very small. At first, we were given a room on the first floor that had a really bad smell, similar to a sewage smell, so we asked to change rooms and they did move us to another one. However, the whole first floor had an unpleasant smell, and it seemed like the original room was the source.
The view was also disappointing, as it overlooked an area with a lot of rubbish.
The service was not great either. We had to keep following up with the staff to get our rooms cleaned, and even when we were out for 4–5 hours or more, we would sometimes come back to find that the rooms had not been cleaned. Even basic amenities, such as bedroom slippers and toothbrushes, were not provided and we had to request them.
The elevator could also take quite a while sometimes.
Overall, I don't think the hotel lived up to a 4-star standard. There are definitely better options in terms of service, cleanliness, and overall experience.
Dear friend,
I want to share something very meaningful to me: Islam. Islam teaches us to believe in one God, to worship Him alone, and to live with kindness, honesty, mercy, and peace.
I invite you to learn about Islam with an open heart and an open mind. You don't have to accept anything immediately—just take your time, ask questions, and discover what Islam teaches for yourself.
May Allah guide us both to the truth and bless you with peace and happiness. 🤍

Our experience with this hotel was amazing! The staff was by far what made this hotel so incredible. First of all, they were so welcoming when we first arrived. They helped us with our luggage and offered us free waters, sodas, and snacks. They also restocked us on waters whenever we needed! That was a huge plus on our trip. Our rooms were so nice and clean, and the hotel was great walking distance to the metro and some fabulous restaurants/shopping all while still being a nice quiet and calm setting! Highly recommend this hotel and thank you to the friendly staff!
Lovely hotel, clean and well- appointed. The lobby area is very welcoming. Rooms had all the essentials, including shampoo, conditioner, body lotion etc. Tea and coffee facilities also available.
The STAFF are amazing. Helpful, polite and professional.
Phyo, the manager at breakfast was an absolute joy. Hardworking , amusing, and attentive.
My only criticisms would be that the pillows were a little to firm for my liking and the noise from the underground could be heard in our ground floor room.
But the positives far outweighed the negative and we would definitely return to this hotel.
We had a wonderful stay at The Welbeck Hotel and would definitely recommend it.
The location is excellent - on a beautiful, quiet street, yet just a short walk from Oxford Street, Marylebone, and other main attractions. There are plenty of great restaurants and cafés nearby, making it the perfect base for exploring London.
The staff were exceptional throughout our stay - always friendly, approachable, professional, and genuinely happy to help with anything we needed.
A special thank you to Sanjeewa, the Duty Manager, who was incredibly kind, attentive, and always willing to help with every request. He truly cared about making sure our family had the best possible stay.
Youseff at reception was always welcoming, smiling, and ready to assist.
Pho, the Breakfast Manager. He was warm, thoughtful, and genuinely caring.
The breakfast was very good and excellent service every day.
Thank you to the entire team for making our family holiday so memorable. We look forward to staying at The Welbeck Hotel again on our next visit to London!
