Where to begin about such a wonderful experience. Our first trip to London, so I have nothing to compare the Langham to, but I can firmly say I strongly believe that nothing else would compare to the Langham. Such a wonderful piece of history, Not just London UK history, this is world history. Read the history on the website and if you have time during your stay, catch a hotel history tour. The Langham hotel, the afternoon tea and a trip to Selfridge's and Harrods were the main "bucket list" reasons for my vacation.
I hail from the city of Philadelphia. I spent my younger years working for Strawbridge and Clothier and John Wanamaker Department stores. Both are now gone.
I have been reading about travelling to London and the Langham and decided to book a trip in hopes that I could show my family a place that resembles what used to be my life in Philly , to recapture " my old stomping grounds" to some degree.
I succeeded in my quest on many levels. London and The Langham exceeded my expectations
The staff at the Langham truly make this hotel what it is. The employees are all so happy and proud to work here. It feels like home the moment you walk in. Nothing pretentious about it, just stunning and beautiful, yet quaint and comfortable. It is remarkable how spotless all areas of the hotel are - our room was absolutely fantastic. I was expecting due to the age of the hotel- there would be some nostalgic old smell to it- not the case at all. You would think you are in a brand new hotel. It is truly remarkable. Carpets paint furniture all appointed perfectly. Housekeeping did an immaculate job servicing our room daily, as did turn down service.
We stayed concierge level for the club lounge. The food and drink included are top notch. I appreciated that no one is allowed to take the food away from the lounge. Stellar employees include Ash, Shane, Luca, Monika and the rest. a nice family of workers on club level! Thank you all! don't hesitate to book this hotel !!!

Another superb stay at the Langham. The friendly welcome starts at the front door as they take your cases from you (which just appear in your room later) and it just gets better if you book a club room. Head straight to the lounge to check in and have some refreshments. The staff at the lounge are superb and it is great that they retain so many of the staff that it is like being greeted by old friends. Yes it would be better if they had more hot food in the evening but the staff and flowing drinks more than make up for it.
The hotel is very pleasant overall, and the communal areas are beautifully designed, elegant and harmonious. There is a real sense of classic London luxury throughout the public spaces, and the atmosphere is refined and very well maintained.
The rooms, however, are rather small for a hotel of this category and price.
The main issue during our stay was the noise in the internal-facing rooms. In our case, it was very difficult to sleep because of the constant sound of the flags moving and hitting against their poles in the inner courtyard. It may sound like a minor detail, but during the night the repetitive noise became extremely noticeable and genuinely affected our rest.
So, while the hotel itself is beautiful and the common areas are particularly impressive, I would strongly recommend requesting an exterior-facing room if possible. The internal rooms can be surprisingly noisy, which is disappointing in a hotel of this level.

We’ve been returning to this hotel for years, and every single stay is outstanding. From the moment we arrive, it genuinely feels like coming home. The service is incredibly warm, attentive and friendly.
The rooms are beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean and tastefully designed – everything is simply just right.
And an evening visit to the Artesian Bar is an absolute must for us. 🍸
We always love coming back and are already looking forward to our next stay. Highly recommended!
