We went there for a spa day on Thursday. The place was quite quiet, which was actually nice and relaxing. The receptionist, I think her name was Joosey, was lovely and super friendly.
As for the spa itself, don’t expect a luxury spa experience. There’s no jacuzzi, and it’s not really suitable for couples because the only unisex area is the pool. The steam room and sauna are separated for men and women, which we didn’t know beforehand. They also don’t provide slippers/sandals.
The mirrors around the pool area clearly hadn’t been cleaned for a while, which was disappointing.
On the positive side, they do have a coffee machine and refreshments available, which was really nice after the spa.

Spa facilities - Not compliant with health and safety;
1. very dirty leading up to the spa (smelly and dirty stairs and hallways) with clumps of wet and solidified dust visible on the the floors by the pool and stairs very outdated too. I cannot believe how this hotel got 5 stars? My local public pool is in much better and cleaner shape for a fraction of the price.
2. We almost slipped and almost dangerously fell, on 3 occasions as the tiles around the pool are very slippery (when walking with the spa slippers provided), spa staff said they would arrange for anti slip covers, but it was not done. This meant that for safety I had to walk barefoot, which was very unhygienic, especially with the dirty conditions
Staff -
1. Spa staff where nice and polite, though visibly stressed, they were very understaffed when we visited on the 8th of May.
2. Manager of the restaurant showed no customer care skills and was very unpleasant, the kind waiter and waitress were visibly uncomfortable with her disrespectful manner towards us.
Spa -
Both myself and my friends have extensive experience on receiving massages, in England and other parts of the world, we were all so shocked that 2 of the 3 masseuse on the day wore gloves for our massage treatments, both stated they were allergic to the products. One of my friends was even given a facial with gloves!
1. It worries me that if staff are allergic to the products the spa uses, is this product then safe for us too?
2. None of the masseuse asked us first, if it was ok for us, if they wore gloves. They just wore them and expected us to accommodate to the unpleasant experience of having a treatment were the natural touch of skin is so important to the effectiveness of the treatment.
3. If the staff is allergic to the products, why do they not use products that they are not allergic to? Even simple ones like olive oil or coconut oil?
I would not recommend for anyone to consider the Harbour Yard Hotel spa facilities or Spa treatments. The experience was horrible I would not consider it even if I was paid to experience this. This was meant to be a special day with my team and we were left so shocked with all of the above mentioned, and all this for £152.10 each.
As we did not sleep.over, notable to comment on rooms.
We booked in for one night only for the London Marathon.
We're given a 20% discount food voucher. Which we were told to hold onto because we had checked out early to attend the marathon.
On our return to collect our suitcases (the same day). We decided to eat at the hotel & specifically asked the waitress before ordering, whether we could use the voucher. But she disappeared & never came back (shift change...who knows)? .
After consuming our first course, the plates were left on the table for a considerably long time. So we had to go to the bar & asked a member of staff if someone could clear our plates & bring over the dessert menu.
After completing our meal we had to go to the bar again & ask for the bill. Which was annoying considering there was only around 5-6 tables occupied & we could actually see the 4 members of staff continually chatting & joking with one another.
When we received the bill we saw the 20% was not deducted. And didn't even notice that they had included 12% service charges.
After a "very unpleasant" discussion we were told as we had checked out of the hotel, we weren't entitled to the discount, with a flippant response " that's the way it is". Although there were no T&C's on the voucher.
This has been the worst experience after staying in a 5 star hotel & we won't be going there again.

This was my first time at a Millennium line hotel. Considering this was a 5 star hotel, that we chose to stay at due to that rating over others that would have been more conveniently located for our trip, I was extremely unimpressed. Although they advertise air conditioning they don't turn it on until summer. So in Spring, although it was over 22 C / 72 F there was no air conditioning, we had to sleep with our windows open. The showers were not well cleaned. Front desk service was also lacking. We had selected paid early check in for both rooms we booked through their online portal, then when we got there neither of the two rooms we booked were ready - they promised they would call to inform us when. They never did. For one of our rooms, the door fob battery died and we were locked out of that room. It took over 40 mins for someone to come fix it which then made us late to our dinner reservation. As an apology they promised that we'd have a bottle of champagne waiting when we returned. 4 hours later, no champagne. I had to call down, they claimed they didn't know what I was talking about. I told them to check with the staff from earlier that night. They called back awhile later saying I was right and the champagne will be there. We were locked out at 5:30 pm. We got our champagne around 11pm. Look, I get things happen and that's okay but don't promise or offer services that set an expectation that then aren't there (air conditioning, paid early check in, free drinks when something goes wrong). It's frustrating and actually makes it worse than just being upfront. However, if they were upfront about their level of service then they could not be a 5 star hotel. What was nice about the hotel was the spacious room size, it had a beautiful lobby/lounge that you can't get in the main city, the hotel bar was nice (but pricey). Yet, I really don't see how anything about my stay makes this a 5 star hotel other than the aesthetics I mentioned which are less important when you are spending most time in your room or in the city around it. You mine as well stay at 3 star hotel for the same level of service or at least somewhere that is closer to attractions for your trip.

An absolute hidden gem in Chelsea!
We just returned from our 1 night stay here and we regret not being able to stay longer.
I am familiar with this hotel for many years and always wanted to try it, and I am so glad we were finally able to.
We stayed in their cheapest room, which by the way is a suite at 41sqm (all rooms are suites or penthouses here) and it was incredibly practical with 2 bathrooms, logical layout, strong AC, and pretty much anything you could need even for a long stay.
I can't believe how cheap this hotel is for what they offer. Most nights you can find them advertised from £130 a night. What a steal.
Yes, it does seem to be beyond its glory days, and you can tell that it used to be a top luxury establishment, rivalring heavy names in the industry like the Intercontinental or Conrad, but the low price you pay to stay here can forgive any shortcomings in that spectrum.
I was worried that it might be a bit too old or ran-down but they're doing a decent job at maintaining the place.
The spa and pool area are also quite good, although some cleaning and extra towels for the pool would be good.
The highlight of our stay was the food. It was unbelievably good and reasonably priced. I don't get why people are rating the restaurant so low at 3.9/5 here on Google Maps but I'd say that it's well worth a visit.
The staff were also very friendly and helpful, and the Receptionist (her name is Aseel) who handled our check in and check out was very kind and provided excellent service.
Really, an overall fantastic experience and we can't wait to stay again in the future, next time in an upgraded suite with a view of the Marina.
