I would avoid The Social (their in house restaurants) with a extra large barge pole. They gave me food poisoning for 72 hours on 7th May 2026. The staff members refused to take any acknowledgment on site and thought it was funny that I was having to go to work still puking up from their food the night before. They told me it was my fault I got ill and that its like Indian Street food, if it makes you ill its your fault. I emailed Premier inn and got the same response which was shocking for a major chain. Too this date I not been offered a refund or any kind of apologies. I wont book personal trips with Premier Inn anymore because of their terrible attitude.

To be honest, this would have been a five-star review if it wasn’t for the service. The room was immaculate, the hotel is in a great location, it was good value for money and, as I generally find with Premier Inn, everything was clean, tidy and exactly what you’d expect. Unfortunately, the staff experience was a completely different story. When I arrived, I stood at reception clearly waiting to be served and eventually had to ask for someone’s attention. I’d paid extra for early check-in, but when I said I was there to check in, I was simply told, “Check-in starts at 3.” When I explained I’d paid for early check-in, I was then asked for my name and told they’d have to see if they “even had a room clean”. Surely if you’re selling and charging for early check-in, having a room ready is the whole point. I was then sent to the wrong room anyway. The more frustrating part came after I left. About 150 miles into my journey home, I realised I couldn’t find my work phone. I tried ringing the hotel several times, but if nobody answers, the call simply ends — there’s no option to leave a message. I’d also emailed them explaining that I believed I’d left an iPhone in the room. Eventually, after around five attempts, someone answered and transferred me. I explained the situation and asked whether, if they found it, they could post it back to me. I was told they couldn’t go to the Post Office and that I’d need to send them a prepaid addressed envelope. Fair enough — inconvenient, but I can live with that. What irritated me more was that by the following day, nobody had replied to my email or called me back to say whether the phone had been found. As it happens, I eventually found the phone myself in a pocket I’d forgotten I’d put it in, so no harm done. But the hotel didn’t know that. As far as they were concerned, a guest had reported a missing iPhone and was waiting to hear whether it had been found, and nobody bothered getting back to me. Great hotel, excellent room and location, and I’d happily stay there again. But the customer service really needs improving. Without those issues, it would easily have been five stars.

5 Stars for the room/ 1 Star for the food The food here was a huge letdown. We got the meal deal and ordered the chicken curry and the burger, which are both advertised as "most loved." The burger was very basic, terribly dry, and served with only about 15 fries. The curry felt like a low-quality ready meal, coming with just six bites of chicken and two spoonfuls of rice. Breakfast was only ok-ish in comparison. I strongly recommend eating elsewhere. As for the rest of the hotel, the room was nice and the bed was comfortable. However, there is no real lobby to sit in—just two chairs—though staff let you use the restaurant tables outside of breakfast hours.

This hotel needs to pay someone to answer the calls and if they're already doing it that person needs to do their job. I made a booking through hotels.com and trying to call them to confirm my booking but no chance. Makes you feel uncomfortable as a customer, I cant comment on the hotel just yet as we havent stayed in it yet but not being able to talk to someone is uncomfortable.***I called the number you provided, but your team was unable to verify our booking because it was made through Hotels.com. I was advised that I would need to contact the hotel directly.Unfortunately, the hotel is not answering any calls or e mails, and the alternative suggestion to cancel our existing reservation and rebook directly through the Premier Inn website is not a viable option, as your hotel is fully booked. The link you provided has also been unhelpful. The "Contact Us" form requires a Premier Inn booking reference number to proceed, and it does not accept any third-party booking reference numbers. As a result, I am unable to submit an enquiry or request assistance through that channel.Given these circumstances, I would appreciate it if you could provide a practical solution or escalate this matter to someone who can assist with bookings made through third-party providers such as Hotels.com.
