  I have stayed in many premier inns and they are usually a solid value choice, this one really disappointed me. The check-in was chaos and we couldn’t use the machines as our room (and everyone else checking in) was marked as not ready? One towel for two people and considering the beds are usually really good, the one in our room was awfully uncomfortable.

  Ideally located near Docklands and Westferry DLR station with quick links into the city. Due to a last minute change, I rocked up at 11pm and booked a room on arrival. I was offered a Premier Plus room on the 24th floor. The staff were super friendly and helpful, the room was clean and well equipped with a coffee machine, mini fridge, iron and ironing board, rainfall shower and toiletries, as well as Belu water in the fridge and two bars of Devine dark chocolate - a nice touch.

  Bedbugs! I stayed in room 2308 at Premier Inn Canary Wharf for three nights (21st-24th September), total cost £844. After seeing some bites on the first 2 nights I assumed it was a mosquito. When I woke up on night 3, I was covered in very itchy bits all over my legs, arms and even on my forehead. I actually found a dead bed bug on my bed sheet (in picture). After making a complaint at the front desk, I was told I would just need to fill out an online form and someone would come back to me in 10 days (premier inns policy). I have had to throw away my suitcase and rucksack and had to get my new suit dry-cleaned for fear of bringing any of the bedbugs into my own home, which has been expensive. If you are going to stay in this Premier Inn.. give them a call and ask them about their bedbug problem... Terrible experience.

  Great location for the Troxy or Docklands. Literally positioned as you exit the DLR. Self check in so no waiting, although you wait a little for the lifts. Can't comment on breakfast. Room: TV didn't work, towels had a weird smell. Empty wrapper under the sofa. Bed was comfy and clean. Hot, the air con might be motion sensitive, so turns off regularly. Overall fine if you need a decent night's sleep, but don't stay more than a night.

  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I’ve just returned from a stay at Premier Inn London Canary Wharf (Westferry) from Friday until Sunday and couldn’t recommend it enough. We arrived very early, at around 10am, and I’d opted to pay for early check-in. Understandably, we couldn’t be checked in until 11am, so we were happy to wait. By 11, quite a few other people had arrived and I ended up at the back of the queue. The lovely girl who had spoken to me earlier noticed this and actually came over to reassure me not to worry. Even though she was going on her break, she made sure her colleague knew I had been waiting and that I would be checked in first. I asked her name at the time and I think it may have been Daniela (apologies if I’ve remembered that wrong!), but she was absolutely lovely and really deserves a mention. Another huge plus was just how quiet the hotel was at night. Considering you’re staying in London, I was really surprised! We heard virtually no noise from the street and no disturbance from people in the corridors either. We slept really well both nights. Breakfast was fantastic too. We went down at different times over the two mornings and there was always plenty of everything — bacon, eggs, etc. Nothing seemed to run out and it genuinely exceeded my expectations for a hotel breakfast. All of the staff we encountered were so friendly and helpful. One even gave me some biscuits as we were leaving to have later with a cup of tea, which was such a lovely little touch. My only slight disappointment was the pizza I ordered, which was around £14. It was described as freshly made, but personally I felt it tasted more like a frozen-style pizza and probably wasn't worth the price. That said, we also ate in the restaurant and had the chicken goujons and a children's meal, which were both lovely and great value. Overall, we had a brilliant stay and I would absolutely return. I’d especially recommend this Premier Inn if you’re travelling to London for a concert at the O2 — a great location, really quiet at night, lovely breakfast and genuinely friendly staff. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
