I stay here now every week with work, and I very much appreciate how the staff look after me. I work for a major luxury retailer in a corporate role and need quick assess to Harrods and the ability to nip back and forth my room for rest, and or to take video meetings. Very disappointing experience. I accidentally left my stuffed toy in the hotel room when I checked out. I have had this stuffed toy for many, many years, so it has a huge sentimental value to me. I am absolutely certain that I left it in the room, but when I contacted the hotel, I was told that no stuffed toy had been found and that there was nothing left behind. Honestly, I find that very hard to believe. What surprises me the most is that a hotel of this type seems to have so little care or responsibility when it comes to guests’ personal belongings. I understand that people can forget things when checking out, but that is exactly why hotels should have proper procedures for lost property and make an effort to look after their guests’ belongings. It’s not about the monetary value of the item — it’s about its sentimental value and, above all, the way the situation was handled. I am very disappointed, and I honestly expected much more care and responsibility from a hotel like this.
