We had a brilliant experience on the London Eye and would definitely recommend it. The views from the top are incredible – you get a fantastic panoramic view across London and can spot so many of the city’s famous landmarks.
We queued for around 10 minutes(accessibility), but it honestly didn’t feel that long. The queue moved constantly, so there was very little standing around, and most of the wait was simply while the wheel completed its rotation and passengers boarded.
The experience itself was really enjoyable and gives you plenty of time to take in the views and get some great photos. It’s a lovely way to see London from a completely different perspective.
Definitely worth doing, especially if it’s your first time visiting London or you’re sightseeing with children. The scenery alone makes it well worth the visit!

The London Eye is a fantastic sight to behold even without actually taking a ride. Its enormous white structure and glass capsules have become such an integral part of the London skyline that it is difficult to imagine the South Bank without it. Seen from across the Thames, particularly around Westminster Bridge and the Embankment, its scale becomes especially impressive and provides a striking modern counterpoint to the historic architecture of Westminster.
I did not go up in the London Eye, but I never felt that prevented me from appreciating it. In fact, some of its greatest appeal comes from seeing it as part of the wider cityscape—from the Thames, surrounding bridges, and different points along the South Bank. Whether illuminated against the evening sky or towering above the river during the day, it is exceptionally photogenic. Perhaps a ride is for another visit; this time, simply admiring one of modern London's defining landmarks from the ground was more than enough.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing Views of London — Worth Experiencing at Least Once
The London Eye was a great experience and one of the best ways to really appreciate the size and beauty of London.
The highlight is definitely the view. As you slowly rise above the city, you get incredible panoramic views of the River Thames and London's most recognizable landmarks. Seeing Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament and the city skyline from above gives you a completely different perspective than you get while walking around London.
The ride itself is smooth and slow enough that you have plenty of time to enjoy the scenery, take photos and simply look out over the city. I also liked that it didn't feel rushed once we were inside the capsule.
If you're visiting London for the first time, I think the London Eye is worth doing at least once. It's touristy, but the views genuinely deliver and make it a memorable London sightseeing experience.
Amazing views, great photo opportunities and a beautiful way to see London from above.

Super poor service!
The website advertises that tickets can be changed free of charge, and during the booking process it even says that this is possible three times.
I had booked a package including champagne (almost €200).
The trip to London was cancelled by the tour operator.
I contacted the London Eye directly, but they were unable to change my tickets. I was told to buy new tickets and that the original tickets would be refunded afterwards.
That is NOT a free ticket exchange!!!
Apart from that, I simply don't have almost €200 available to pay for the tickets a second time. They also refused to issue me a voucher.
I was in contact with their team for more than a week, without them offering any solution.
And finally, they told me that there was nothing they could do because the tickets were now in the past.
RIDICULOUS. A RIP-OFF.
I can now write off the entire amount.
Think twice before believing the promises made on their official website.
I have lost a significant amount of money — at least significant to me — and I am now left with absolutely nothing.
