The staff here cannot be bettered in a 5* establishment - looking at you Rita! Return visit after a successful short stay. Rooms fine, perfectly clean, compact and well-designed. Service brilliant. And the location in a quiet street beside Kings Cross. Perfect base for a short break. Thanks once again for a memorable time.

Regrettably, I am unable to provide a positive review for this hotel, with the sole exception of the friendly evening bar staff. The communication from the check-in team was exceptionally poor, as they failed to inform us that the water supply would be shut off for several hours that day. Furthermore, upon returning to our room to rest, we discovered large wet patches both directly outside our door and in the center of the floor, far from the bathroom. A staff member was actively vacuuming the wet areas outside our room, and we brought the interior patch to his attention, with him seeing it for himself. The patches inside the room appeared yellowly brown in colour when we dried our feet (seeing evidence from the state of our clothing after taking off our shoes).
Unfortunately, the issue was neither properly resolved nor dried, resulting in the room feeling musty and damp for the duration of our stay. We attempted to follow official procedures to resolve this matter—providing our booking reference and details—in order to receive a response. However, after nearly three months, neither Premier Inn management nor any representative from the site has acknowledged our complaint.
It is disappointing that I have to escalate this matter to Trading Standards simply to obtain an apology.

One of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had.
The hotel advertises that its rooms are equipped with air conditioning, but what they fail to mention is that it might not work at all. I spent the night in a tiny room of barely 5 m², with no window and a temperature of around 30°C. I woke up in the middle of the night drenched in sweat because the room was unbearably hot and there was simply no air to breathe.
When I went to reception looking for help, I received none. Instead, the receptionist told me to go and find a fan myself, as if I were a member of the hotel staff rather than a paying guest who had specifically booked a room with air conditioning. So, in the middle of the night, I ended up searching the hotel for a fan because the staff couldn't even be bothered to bring me one.
The next day I reported the issue again and asked to be moved to another room. I was told there were no rooms available and that I "should have come a day earlier." The irony is that I did report the exact same problem the day before, when their only "solution" was to hand me a fan. They knew from the beginning that the air conditioning wasn't working, yet they did absolutely nothing to fix the issue or offer any form of compensation.
The staff seemed completely indifferent and gave the impression that they simply didn't care about their guests. No apology, no accountability, and no genuine attempt to resolve the situation. Advertising rooms with air conditioning while accommodating guests in windowless, overheated boxes without functioning AC is completely unacceptable and misleading.
Avoid this hotel at all costs unless you want to spend the night cooking in a tiny room with no window and no working air conditioning. If this is how they handle a serious issue that directly affects a guest's stay, I can't imagine how they deal with anything else.
I was at the hotel from 12.7. Until 15.7. In the room 3011. And my friends in the room 3010 with the same experience.

The hotel's location is excellent, just a few minutes' walk from King's Cross station, and the hotel itself would be perfectly fine if the air conditioning actually worked. During the summer, functioning AC is essential, especially since the windows cannot be opened. Our rooms were unbearably hot, with temperatures reaching 29°C at around 11 p.m., making it almost impossible to sleep.
The biggest issue, however, was not just the broken air conditioning but the staff's attitude. On our first night, when we reported the problem, the receptionist told us to go and find a fan ourselves in one of the hotel's utility rooms. The following morning, we were assured that maintenance would inspect the AC, but nothing changed. When we returned to the reception later that day, another receptionist had no idea whether anyone had even checked the room. Despite seeing on his device that the room temperature was 29°C, no effective solution was offered. He even told us that he would have moved us to another room if we had reported the issue the previous night—which we had!!
We also contacted the guest relations department by email but never received a response. We chose this hotel specifically because it advertised air conditioning, yet we barely slept during our stay because it simply didn't work.
It's a real shame because the hotel has a great location and a lot of potential. However, poor maintenance and an indifferent attitude from the staff completely ruined our experience. I cannot recommend this hotel at this price until they fix the air conditioning and significantly improve their customer service.
