    I had numerous issues with my room: * shower did not drain properly, so would flood if I stayed in long enough * dank bathroom with water damage in the ceiling - I could actually hear the water dripping into the ceiling from the room above * pool of water showed up in the entryway, either from the a/c, the refrigerator, or leaking through the wall * I saw a few bugs and gnats that I identified with Google Lens, each one was identified as something that fed on mold or fungus. That’s indicative of long-running mold and fungus issues caused by the water damage I reported all of these issues, and the staff, seemed either to not understand me, not coordinate between themselves, or not take the issues seriously. Mold can have serious health consequences. I recommend avoiding this hotel.

    Je sanctionne d’une mauvaise note, car depuis que la fin du séjour je me fais spammer de mails et de messages sur booking par l’hôtel. Plus de 10 sollicitations en quelques semaines, avec impossibilité de demander d’arrêter. J’ai dû bloquer leur adresse mail. Merci de respecter vos clients svp. Chambre correcte, mais pas digne d’un 4 étoiles. On a été mis sous les toits, assez bruyant avec la pluie. Petit déjeuner très bien Emplacement parfait dans un quartier charmant

    This was one of the most shocking hotel experiences I have ever had. The hotel check-out time was 11:00 am. I mistakenly believed it was 12:00 pm, which is a very common check-out time in many hotels. However, instead of handling the situation professionally, a male staff member began aggressively banging on my door shortly after 11:00 am. What happened next was absolutely unacceptable: before I had the chance to properly respond, he unlocked and opened the door himself without my permission. At the time, I was changing my clothes, and my underage younger sister was also in the room. Having an unknown male staff member suddenly open the door while two female guests were inside was not only humiliating but also extremely disturbing and unsafe. A check-out reminder is one thing. Entering an occupied room without consent is something entirely different. There was no emergency, no justification, and no respect whatsoever for guest privacy. The most alarming part is that if hotel staff feel entitled to enter occupied rooms simply because a guest has not checked out exactly on time, then what protection do guests actually have? Privacy and safety should be the absolute minimum standard in any hotel. This incident left us feeling violated, uncomfortable, and genuinely concerned about the hotel’s safeguarding procedures. The fact that a minor was present makes the situation even more serious. I expect far better from any hotel claiming to provide professional accommodation. Management should urgently investigate this incident, review who has access to guest rooms, and retrain staff on basic privacy and safety standards. I would not stay here again, nor would I recommend this hotel to anyone travelling with family, women travelling alone, or guests who value their privacy and personal security.

    Had a great two night stay at this hotel and really loved its location. Area felt very safe during the day with plenty of food options on its doorstep with easy access to the main attractions in the city. Also, we were lucky enough to get an upgrade and the room was lovely. However, our kettle didn’t work, the safe didn’t work (despite following its instructions) and the fridge was barely cold. These were just small things and the £5 charge for leaving baggage for a few hours upon departure was frustrating and tarnished the stay a little. However we would definitely stay here again as it’s clean, modern and affordable.

    Unfortunately this wasn’t what I had hoped for. I travel with work all over the country and have earned gold status with IHG but this hotel falls far below the usual standards. The hotel itself was lovely and modern but the staff were nothing but unhelpful and rude. Upon check in I was asked for a £50 deposit which I couldn’t do as I don’t carry personal cards with me when I travel for work. We have a company card which is used for all transactions. I tried to explain I have all the details to use this card but was told that it HAS to be a personal card of my own. When I explained this to the front desk, I only got attitude and sarcasm saying they don’t believe me. After this I wasn’t told any details about breakfast or my stay and was left guessing where my room was due to the poor handwriting on my key card. On the booking I have a food and drink allowance on the same company card. Later on I attempted to get a drink at the bar and was refused. I was told there wasn’t any card on the booking despite the person who checked me in referencing it at check in saying they can’t charge it. This meant I was left without food or drink for the night. The room was okay, fairly modern but the bed sounded like it was going to fall apart any second, the pillows were lumpy and not comfortable and the light switches beside the bed did not work. Lastly the bathroom has nowhere to put a personal toiletries bag. Overall a disappointing stay which made feel more like a prisoner in my room not able to use any of the facilities. I won’t be staying here again and will be over at the Holiday Inn where the staff are lovely and personable.
