Not sure where this hotel gets being four-stars from, but it was missing amenities that I would absolutely expect from a four star hotel.
This is the second hotel I stayed at in London, and the first one was much better! Granted it was considered “five-stars”, but I would put this hotel more in the three-star range!
I paid with points, and it was a good redemption but if I had paid £600+ like some of the other reviews mentioned, I would be supremely unhappy.
A few things really annoyed me about the hotel:
- No in-house laundry service. They recommended an app I could use, but didn’t have a bag for me to put my laundry in, so I wasn’t able to use it. Honestly the prices on hotel laundry service are already ridiculous, so I don’t get why a hotel can’t provide that kind of service? I’m paying extra for it!
- The room was noisy, not from street noise (that was actually pretty quiet) but from the inside of the hotel. Sounded like something was scurrying around in the walls. It could’ve just been the pipes though!
- Only two lifts for 9 floors. I would also frequently be sent up before going down, which is annoying.
- Bathroom was a little weird, as there was no lip between the shower and the rest of the room so it always got wet everywhere. I also never figured out how to get the hose to work.
- There was no chromecast on the “smartTVs”. I guess this is a more modern feature that not all hotels have, but it’s kind of deceptive that they advertise “SmartTVs” without anyway to stream on them (at least that I could figure out). Like every TV is smart these days! That’s all they make!
Good things:
- Location is great, lots of theaters nearby, but it did have the issue of being the “Times Square of London”. So if you’re not going to the theater (or one of the casinos I guess) there’s no point in staying there.
- The price I paid was cheap.
- Rooms have AC
- Room was clean and housekeeping came every day (I put the door hanger out everyday though)
OMG!! Worse hotel i've been too. 2 months my complaint has been ongoing back and forth to the hotel, IHG & Bookings.com whom it was booked with. Our room was grubby, and overlooked the air units of the building opposite. It was constantly noisy as well as terrible curtains that didn't block out the light in the early hours nor close due to the wardrobe being attached to the wall. We had to pay additional £40 on top of £274 to go into our room early, even though we were told its ready and no one else would be in that room. The view was terrible and extremely upsetting for my wife, whom i booked as a special treat for her 50th Birthday. Floors were not clean, the bathroom tap was so low you banged your hands on the plug hole, the black frames and shower was peeling and generally tatty. Even when my wife went down after being in tears to see if she could move rooms, the reception team were not interested, it was as if she was an inconvenience asking about moving to a different room. Whilst there another customer was asking about something that should have been taken to his room, and the girl was just, i dont know. He did get very angry and did apologise, but its very frustrating that you put your point or issue across and they just dont want to be there to help you and make your stay enjoyable. Even when we checked out, there was no, how was your stay, or thank you for your custom. In fact we didnt get anything, it was can i have the key and your checked out! That was it. I was offered points which i do not want because i will never use this hotel again, ever. I've been advised i'll get a refund from Bookings.com of £40.40 only (the hotel were not willing to provide a refund of any sort) only to find out that Bookings.com have put it into a wallet for a future booking, again i will never use them either. You go back and forth and get the same stupid response as they do not read your emails. Even the CEO hasnt replied. Totally unacceptable and would advise people not to go here!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Indigo Hotel Leicester Square, and I can honestly say the service exceeded all expectations.
A special thank you goes to Niral, who arranged my visit and ensured everything was perfectly organised from the very beginning. Your professionalism, attention to detail, and warm hospitality made my stay truly memorable.
I would also like to thank the entire team, especially Magic, Jay, Shakila, and all of the bar staff, who consistently provided exceptional customer service. Every member of the team made me feel genuinely welcome, and their friendliness and dedication were evident throughout my stay.
Having worked in licensing and visited many hospitality venues over the years, I have a deep appreciation for what it takes to operate a successful establishment. It was clear to me that this hotel is managed with pride, teamwork, and a genuine commitment to guest satisfaction.
I would highly recommend staying at the Indigo Hotel Leicester Square to anyone visiting London. I also wish continued success to the hotel and all of its partners who contribute to making it such an outstanding destination.
Thank you once again, Niral, and thank you to the entire team for making my visit such an enjoyable experience. I look forward to returning.
