Today (22/06/2026) I was aghast to see that the hotel was hosting a pro-life anti abortion group. They had a stand right next to the main staircase and lifts with the slogan "for the protection of the unborn child" emblazoned across it. I appreciate that hotels rent conference rooms to a wide range of organisations. However, permitting a campaigning stand relating to such a contentious topic to be positioned directly beside the lifts and main staircase gave the appearance that the hotel was facilitating the promotion of that campaign
Regardless of anybody's views on the topic of abortion, the organisation has a logo of a foetus crying, which could be incredibly distressing for so many people for many reasons. It is heart wrenching to think of a paying guest- perhaps on their holiday- having to walk past this whose circumstances nobody has any idea about.

Super handy to the high street with lots of shops, restaurants, grocery stores & High Street Kensington tube station. The rooms are very small, the first room I had for a week did not have a refrigerator or safe but the 2nd room I had a week later did. The gym on the website does not match the reality. The gym is basically an after thought, a gloomy 10x10 room with not much equipment. The pool water was extremely hot, not at all comfortable to swim in especially when the London weather was warm & humid... apparently the temperature was set to 33 degrees celsius, much warmer than outside. The hot tub was also boarded up and obviously not working. One funny thing is you have to request face cloths for the bathrooms, they don't seem to carry them on their towel carts. It also took 4 requests to fix the refrigerator in the room and the repair fellow was quite disgruntled about that. The breakfast was excellent and highly recommend. it be purchased as part of your hotel package. Finally the staff were friendly and accommodating and would consider returning though only if a larger room was available.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn London-Kensington High Street in what was advertised as a “1 King Bed Suite”, but the room was extremely disappointing and nowhere near the standard expected.
The room felt smaller and worse than many basic Premier Inn or Travelodge rooms, despite being sold as a suite. The cleanliness was shocking. There was black mould and mildew in the bathroom, and what appeared to be blood on the curtains. The whole end of the corridor, as well as the room itself, smelt strongly of drains, which made the stay very unpleasant.
The air conditioning was also a problem. It was noisy but did not appear to cool the room properly. To make matters worse, our room was located next to the laundry area, where there was clattering and banging from around 6am, making it impossible to get a proper rest.
We also found it very difficult to speak to anyone about these issues, as there never seemed to be any staff available when needed.
Overall, this was a very poor experience and not at all what I would expect from a Holiday Inn, especially for a room marketed as a king bed suite. I would not recommend this hotel based on this stay.
This was my second stay at Holiday Inn High Street Kensington, and once again, I was truly impressed by the excellent service from the entire team.
From the moment we arrived, Miss Georgina at the front desk made us feel very welcome. She carefully explained the room type we had booked and kindly pointed out that we had accidentally reserved an accessible room package with breakfast and dinner included. She gave us the opportunity to review and change the room type before checking in, which we greatly appreciated. Thanks to her attentiveness, we avoided a booking mistake and were even able to check in early after a long journey. It was exactly what we needed after our tired journey.
When we arrived at our room, the housekeeping attendant on the sixth floor who assisted us was exceptionally kind and service-minded. He was always smiling, friendly, and repeatedly asked if there was anything else he could help us with. Whenever we needed additional amenities, he was more than happy to assist. Unfortunately, I did not get his name, but he was very tall and incredibly kind. His positive attitude and genuine hospitality left a lasting impression on us.
The dinner and bar team were also wonderful. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, making us feel at home throughout our stay. We would especially like to thank Mr. Shree and Mr. Richard. They remembered our preferences and paid attention to even the smallest details. Their thoughtful service made every dining experience enjoyable and personal.
At check-out, Miss Jess was extremely professional and efficient in resolving an issue regarding our dinner allowance. Our package included a £25 dinner allowance per person, so we should only have been charged for the amount exceeding that allowance. However, the full dinner bill had initially been charged. Miss Jess quickly investigated the matter and corrected it, ensuring that we only paid the difference. We were very grateful for her prompt assistance and problem-solving skills.
Overall, we had another fantastic stay and would happily recommend this hotel to anyone visiting London. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the Tube station, and the service is truly outstanding. Thank you to everyone at Holiday Inn High Street Kensington for making our stay so memorable.
We look forward returning again in the future.
