  They do not live up to their 4 stars at all but more like a 1 to max 2 star hotel First of all we have old grout running down the wall in our bathroom and there are big cracks at the joints both on the toilet and also around the sink and in the bath itself, there is no bathroom door so when you take a shower the whole bathroom is sprayed with water We then got a new room but this time still joints cracks all over the room + bathroom we had not had our room cleaned for 3 days even though we had removed the dividers so they could come in when we finally did they had to go in and then go out again to clean there were still crumbs on the floor and the beds they had turned over and not given us new covers, when I went down to complain they came to us and did it too, this is at least the last time we come to such a shitty hotel greetings room 738 Martin Frederiksen

  Clean rooms, very small bathrooms but that is how central London is. Cupboards super small. Ideal for business travellers. Excellent staff. Siddhant at the breakfast lounge went out of his way to make us enjoy our experience. Since London is going through a heat wave, the corner we sat in was warm. Siddhant said he would try to lower the temperature. This speaks very highly of his customer service. Last night, there was lots of laughter coming from the room next to ours at 10:30 pm. We had had a busy day so it was affecting our sleep. We called the reception and in 10 minutes the manager turned up and made sure the sound levels were okay. The breakfast is pretty decent but the cut fruits - watermelon particularly was soggy. Bananas were so green that we could not eat them yesterday. Apples were fresh and crunchy.

  Not a fan. Booked a week stay at Crowne Plaza Kings Cross and the issues began immediately. First, the fan in the room was not operational. This is fine, the fixed it fairly quickly. Then, when I tried to use the in room fridge I found that it was not cooling. I called the front desk. They said they would send someone to look at it. No one came. I called again eight hours later and they said they would send someone again. No one came. I’m still trying to sort it out, since I have another three days here. I’m seriously considering changing hotels. Also, if you are expecting a solid wifi, forget it. It’s fine for emails and surfing (slowly) the internet but any kind of consistent connection is a lost cause. They also have no in house store for snacks and the closest option is a hole in the wall market that has basically no selection. Will not stay here again. Very disappointing.

  Stayed at the Crowne Plaza for 2 nights. I loved that the accessible room was actually assessible and the shower room was simply divine, really well appointed and critically had an awesome shower! There was a lip in the doorway that was just enough to catch my front castors, but not enough I had to wheely so I was happy. The location was also really well suited for me, just a 10 minute walk/roll from my destination in London. Most of the staff were super helpful and nice, but I had a singular bad experience which I can't say is an uncommon occurance, where somebody's desire to help me overcame their respect for my autonomy and as a result this member of staff caused me significant pain. I complained to management about the staff putting their hands on me without my consent and I felt the manager was incredibly defensive which did not sit well with me. The manager eventually said he would conduct training to resolve the issue himself but I really didn't feel he understood the gravity of the situation and that his member of staff, regardless of their intentions had assaulted me, so overall I felt this promise was more to placate me than anything else. For me this marred the whole experience so overal I am giving service 1 star (sorry to all the staff who did give me good service!).

  I stayed here at the beginning of June whilst working in London. First of all, the hotel offered great value and the location is easily accessible to central London and beyond. I walked here from St Pancras station and it only took around 15 minutes which was ideal. I received a fantastic welcome upon check-in and was offered a complimentary drink as my IHG member status was recognised - this was really appreciated after a long afternoon travelling. The rooms are a little tired and could do with some TLC, but they're spotless with the same consistency you would expect from other IHG hotels and the Crowne Plaza brand. The rainfall shower was wonderful and the bed was comfortable. Rooms are really quiet too and I slept well. I enjoyed dinner in the restaurant which was fresh and tasted great - I'd recommend the salmon fillet. I can't comment on breakfast as I left early in the morning. Overall, I'd recommend this hotel if you're looking for great value in a good spot. I'd definitely return again.
