    First, by North American Standards, I'm not sure this would be a four-star hotel--but it is certainly a GREAT hotel: 1. It's convenient to get to if you're flying out of of Heathrow 2. It's got marvellous and friendly staff 3. It's got AIR CONDITIONING 4. The rooms are quiet and clean and set up for accessibility. So, I take it back, by many European standards and what I've said above, this is a four-star hotel. I quite enjoyed my stay and would stay again in a heartbeat primarily because of how well-treated I felt while staying here. My dietary allergies were well-attended to, and I felt welcome from the moment I stepped inside.

    ⭐☆☆☆☆ One of the worst hotel stays I’ve had. The walls are unbelievably thin. I could hear conversations from the room next door almost word for word, and guests frequently stood outside room doors talking loudly or having phone calls. It felt impossible to relax or get a proper night’s sleep. This is not the first time I’ve experienced this problem here. The room was also far from clean. The bathroom had a very strong unpleasant smell as soon as I walked in, which made the whole room feel unhygienic. The noise didn’t stop with other guests. Whenever housekeeping cleaned nearby rooms, I could hear everything: vacuum cleaners, cleaning carts, doors slamming, staff talking, and other everyday noises. It didn’t matter whether they were next door, across the corridor, or upstairs. Every sound came straight through the walls. The only advantage of this hotel is its direct connection to Heathrow Terminal 4. Unfortunately, convenience cannot make up for poor cleanliness, terrible soundproofing, and the overall lack of comfort. After reading other reviews, it seems these are ongoing issues that have never been properly addressed. I expected much better from an IHG hotel. I would not stay here again and would not recommend it to anyone who values cleanliness, comfort, or a good night’s sleep.

    1 star only for the receptionist professionalism. We wasted one hour at 9pm just to deal with the room which is not comes with twin beds as we booked in February. The Indian manager didn't give us a friendly solution, but rather side the receptionist trainee who gave us the wrong room type and told her we could not change room after we checked in and saw the room. It was disappointing with such an experience. Booking with Trip website was a bad choice in the end with very unpleasant hotel and customer service experience. 139 pounds for a night. The room was a bit dusty and but luckily the queen bed is comfortable. Good breakfast and friendly staffs at the cafe and bistro.

    Our family arrived at London Heathrow Airport after 5 p.m. after a flight of more than 14 hours. We were looking for a hotel where we could rest for the night before continuing our journey, and the Holiday Inn Express, conveniently connected to the airport via internal walkways, was the perfect choice. With nine pieces of luggage, we were wondering how we would get everything to our room when WELDROY kindly approached us and offered his assistance. Using a baggage trolley, he transported all of our luggage with great care and efficiency. We felt extremely fortunate. WELDROY's kindness, professionalism, and willingness to help made a lasting impression on us. Employees like WELDROY truly make the Holiday Inn Express shine.

    My feedback is on the checkin process and the person at that time. I arrived at hotel 10pm Jun 6, 2026, with hungry kids looking for dinner as we rushed from T2 to this property hoping to get dinner at the 24hr all day dining restaurant (according to the IHG app). Priyanka was assisting with check-in. Earlier request for room next to each other wasn't available (only found out when at room, but was told it is arranged while checking in). Then was informed by Priyanka there is no such thing as all day dining restaurant, restaurant closed at 9pm and no room service available either. Told to order from outside (Uber eats). First of all, amazed by the lack of care, secondly found that it was wrong information from the night manager who was very apologetic. There is room service after all. Best of all, there is bar on premise that serves dinner, Destination Bar, which I ended up at. When I came back to inform Priyanka, she curtly replied "ya, it's finger food, not a restaurant" , even as I explain I ordered full meal of fish and chips, club sandwich, pizza and burger for my family of 5. Hotel location is perfect, I am sure hotel is very busy. A bit of professionalism and giving the right information is the bare basic expectation to be met in service industry for someone at the service desk. Else, best be placed in back-office. Btw, I have included my "finger food" dinner photo from Destination bar.
