  I booked to stay in the safari hotel and it was not worth the price of £210. The room was extremely outdated, and dirty with broken chairs and broken tiles in the bathroom. It was disappointing as it was booked for my daughters 8th birthday. The room did not look like the photo as advertised and clearly hasn’t been modernised in 10+ years. Unacceptable.

  Staff are friendly and polite. My room sadly had very low water pressure in the shower. It was only trickling water at when fully opened. The water in the sink was fine. Very strong pressure. I asked staff if I could change rooms. A member of staff came to inspect the water pressue for the shower and sadly informed me that this is the standard water pressure they are currently receiving in this area. Aside from the waste pressure. There is a weird smell when first entering the room. Smells like insecticide. It was interesting to wake up and stare out the window to see ostriches wandering around the park. Definitely not something you get at other hotels. Parking is great. Plenty of spots. Recommend this hotel for families with young children as its quite amusing to enter the elevator and see a massive sticker of a giraffe staring at straight back at you.

  Very disappointing for a family hotel, particularly for a child with additional needs We paid around £400 for one night and two days at Chessington, and unfortunately the hotel experience really didn’t reflect the price. The room itself was very basic. There wasn’t even a complimentary bottle of water in the mini fridge, which might seem like a small thing, but at this price I expected considerably more. What really upset us, however, was the dinner restaurant experience. My 8-year-old son is autistic and has a very restricted diet. One of the foods he will reliably eat is fried eggs. We explained this to our waiter and could see they had eggs as part of one of the dishes on the menu and simply asked whether the kitchen could make him some fried eggs. The waiter went to speak to the chef and came back to tell us that the chef had said no. I found the complete lack of flexibility incredibly disappointing from a resort specifically aimed at children and families. We weren’t asking for an elaborate special meal; we were trying to find something very simple that our autistic child could eat. We ultimately had to leave the hotel, get in the car and drive around half an hour away to a pub, where we explained the situation and they made him fried eggs without any problem. Having paid around £400 for our Chessington break, I never expected that we would have to leave the resort in the evening and drive elsewhere simply to get our child something he could eat which a simple thing such as eggs, which are included in the breakfast and on the dinner menu. I would also like to add the restaurant was pretty much empty, therefore not rushed off their feet! I appreciate that restaurants cannot cater for every individual request, but I would expect a major family resort to show a greater degree of understanding and reasonable flexibility when dealing with children with additional needs and restricted eating. The park itself was enjoyable, but the hotel and restaurant experience really let the break down for us and did not feel like good value for what we paid.

  Great experience for my son birthday, we paid the extra for room with the wanyama view, kids loved it. Self check was easy but I still needed to go up to customer service desk to ask breakfast times. You need to pre-book you reserve your slot. Breakfast was nice but not as good a Premier Inn standards. Early Chessington access is towards the far back on your left as you walk pass the restaurant. Starts from 9am which is a complete bonus, done all of Paw Patrol ride plus Gruffalo ride before the theme park opened up to the public. We booked swimming session for the following day at 11am-12pm which was also a bonus, it was so quiet we practically had both of the entire swimming pools to ourselves. We ate dinner outside of the area in a local restaurant. Car parking, really busy when we arrived around 10am on our check in day. You need to collect a QR receipt to exit the parking lot from the receptionist, showing them your reservation booking. Beds were all very comfy and room were very clean as you'd expect.

  Nos alojamos en el Safari Hotel, justo al lado de Chessington World of Adventures, y para una visita al parque nos pareció una opción muy cómoda. Está muy cerca de Londres, pero una vez allí tienes la sensación de estar completamente fuera de la ciudad: rodeado de naturaleza, animales y con un ambiente que realmente parece un pequeño safari. Las habitaciones son amplias y tienen una cama doble y literas, además de baño con ducha. Las habitaciones estándar son bastante básicas y necesitan una actualización. Lo mismo ocurre con algunas zonas del hotel: hay bastante moqueta y se nota que el edificio ya tiene unos años. Hay habitaciones renovadas temáticas de Gruffalo y Paw Patrol, entre otras. Se pueden reservar directamente en la web del hotel y tienen mucha demanda. Lo mejor del hotel, sobre todo viajando con niños, son las actividades que ofrecen: encuentros con personajes, animación, juegos y hasta una pequeña discoteca infantil. El personal es joven, muy amable y atento. También tienen piscina, aunque hay que reservar la entrada con antelación en recepción. Y una de las cosas que más nos gustó fue la terraza del bar, con unas vistas preciosas a las cebras, jirafas y antílopes. Se puede tomar algo, comer o comprar comida para llevar y sentarse allí disfrutando de los animales. La comida nos pareció correcta. En resumen, no elegiría este hotel por el lujo de las habitaciones, pero sí por su ubicación, las actividades para niños y la experiencia de estar literalmente junto al parque y los animales. Estás muy cerca de Londres, pero la sensación es de estar en plena naturaleza, en medio de un safari. Para una estancia familiar de varios días nos resultó muy práctico y lo disfrutamos mucho.
