  I booked a Premier Plus room over 2 nights for a stay over to visit Liverpool. We were put in Room 528 and to be honest the room was terrible: 1. Bathroom drain stunk of sewerage. Even the staff member that helped us change rooms noticed how bad it was (very bad). 2. Rain shower head mostly blocked. 3. Paint peeling in the bedroom next to the bed. 4. Mirror light broken (the switch did nothing) so impossible for my wife to see properly. 5. Faulty hairdryer did not turn on at all. All these problems were confirmed by the staff member that helped us out the following morning and we got moved to another room for the second night. Why didn't we complain before sleeping one night? Well the bathroom smell was just about okay the first evening but got progressively worse through the night, and the shower, mirror and hairdryer were not used until the morning. I raised a complaint as we paid a lot for the first night (it coincided with the Labour Conference in Liverpool) but other than saying sorry, Premier Inn refused to offer any sort of compensation for the room (we may as well have stayed in a "normal" room).

  Words can't describe the horror of this bug infestated hotel. Room was filthy. Stains on towels. Mould in bathroom. Shower leaking. No toilet roll. Heating unbearablely loud and hot, no air also. No window that opened. It was black with dirt. Dusty Dirty carpets!!!! Horrid smell throughout. Kettle full of dust, Won't ever return. Awful customer service.Awful hotel. Needs fumigation. Dirty -1*

  The rooms are decent if somewhat spartan. The bathtub leaks water on the floor, no rolls of toilet paper, just those little sheets that I haven't seen in decades. Service sucks, self service check-in that asks too many questions (we answered those when we booked!), no maid service unless you request it, upon which the is still no maid service.

  Spacious modern room, I found the room quite smelly but windows don’t open. Room wasn’t being serviced (I stayed four nights and even placed the sign outside my door a couple of days). Breakfast, snacks and drinks available. Great location, very central, everywhere is walkable. Coach and train stations short walk away. The floors with guest rooms are only accessible with a keycard. Self check-in at terminals after 3 pm but I arrived at 2:30 pm and a very helpful staff member checked me in anyways. Luggage storage available.

  We had a really great stay. Room clean, beds comfortable, shower excellent and the ac worked well, which was very important as the windows don't open. The staff were friendly and polite. The unlimited breakfast was also very good. We felt our visit was overall fantastic value for money.
