  We faced the water and the view was amazing. Bathroom could do with updating. Shower was fixed to wall but powerful enough for it not to matter. Shower curtain!!! Hate them. Also not very safe for anyone with any age. High bath to climb in, no grab bars, a bit precarious. Air con made a noise we couldn't sleep through. Reception had an awful (i think air freshener) smell. Very central, good value but the room view did it for us. Would stay again, preferably in the same room.

  A little understaffed, but the staff were great, polite efficient, they were polite and were very helpful. Caleb was particularly helpful and friendly, any problems and he was on to it straight away, a real asset. The food was great and presented well Although the drinks were overpriced All in all a great stay.

  Superb location. I booked a room with a view which was the largest P I room we've stayed in. The view was amazing: you could see the whole dock and the Liver building. The only reason for 4 and not 5 stars is because the windows weren't very clean and so it was impossible to take a decent photo of the view. I asked Mel at reception about this in passing when we were leaving and she said it was due to the logistics of access to the building. It can also be very windy so obviously window cleaners can't be put at risk. I will definitely return in the not too distant future.

  Beautiful building with plenty of character. Rooms arent great, its obvious windows will be single glazing etc but when doing the rooms plugs or light switches are no where near where you would need them. Breakfast is best avoided, the items on the "hot" plate arent hot, and if you ask for soft poached eggs best of luck to you. Id personally not have the breakfast here

  The hotel is in need of a long overdue update / refurbishment. Carpets are excessively warn / look dirty There was an earwig running around the room we stayed in Airconditioning is noisy Bathroom fan did not work The front face of the shower knob fell off The lift waiting area stank of food / really stank, and has never been sorted out. This really soured our stay in Liverpool, did not look forward to going back to the hotel.
