We stayed here in March 2026 and loved it so much we're booked again in a few weeks. Room with a view was lovely and clean (the windows were a bit mucky but its an old building so didn't bother us). The bed was divine to sleep in, best nights sleep! Bathroom was adequate and clean. The staff were loveky and friendly, very helpful. Food was goegeous - breakfast and evening meal. We loved the old character of the building. Can't wait to go back!

Premier Inn Liverpool City Centre (Albert Dock) allocated me a room with extensive black mould across the bathroom ceiling, additional mould around the sink, broken air conditioning, filthy windows and unusable Wi-Fi. This room should never have passed housekeeping or maintenance checks, let alone been allocated to a paying guest. The most concerning issue was the black mould covering areas of the bathroom ceiling. This isn't simply a cosmetic issue; it is a recognised health hazard, particularly for anyone with allergies or respiratory conditions. The bathroom was also in a poor state of repair, with obvious water damage to the bath panel and mirror, making it clear that maintenance had been neglected for some time. The room itself was equally disappointing. The windows were coated in such a heavy build-up of dust and dirt that they were barely transparent. Because the air conditioning wasn't working, I had no choice but to open the window, which immediately triggered my dust allergy. The overall standard of cleanliness and housekeeping was far below what I expect from Premier Inn. The hotel Wi-Fi was also unacceptable. I recorded download speeds of just 0.95 Mbps, making it virtually unusable. Switching to my own mobile hotspot immediately achieved over 400 Mbps, clearly demonstrating that the issue was with the hotel's internet service. I deliberately waited before posting this review to give Premier Inn every opportunity to resolve my complaint privately. Before anyone replies with the standard "please contact Guest Relations" response, I already have. My complaint was submitted via the web form and WhatsApp (Reference: WHB-3167643-V4Z9). Over the following 14 days I chased the matter three separate times by telephone and also requested updates via WhatsApp. Despite all of that, I have received no response. I'm therefore leaving this review because Premier Inn has failed to address what I believe are serious maintenance, cleanliness and customer service failures. I hope this review prompts the hotel management team to investigate both why a room in this condition was considered fit for occupation and why Guest Relations failed to respond after repeated follow-ups. A room with black mould on the bathroom ceiling, broken air conditioning, filthy windows, unusable Wi-Fi and poor maintenance is simply not acceptable. This experience has seriously damaged my confidence in the Premier Inn brand, and based on my experience, I would not recommend staying at this hotel.
